fuel pump06 Feb 2005 03:21 GMT21
The fuel pump on my 91 Southwind, Ford F53 chassis, is acting up.  Engine
suddenly dies in hot weather when fuel level in tank gets low. This is not
an unusual problem, and it appears the Ford has finally built a pump that
lasts.  My choice is to buy a new pump, drop the tank and ...
Battery Back-up for PC in RV05 Feb 2005 20:38 GMT15
Is there much advantage of having a battery back-up for the PC in an
RV. I have a Belkin battery back-up, but is quite heavy and I'm not
sure it is worth the extra weight, about 30#. Could it be of use in
a flat-spot, boondock situation. Of course you would be working off
BOLO alert for child abusers in Prevost w\ Lexus05 Feb 2005 18:34 GMT10
RVers: Look for a 1996 black and gold Provost motor home towing a gold
2000 Lexus used by John Dollar (58) and Linda Dollar (51), foster
parents of seven children now in Florida Dept. of Families and Children.
The kids, some teens, were horribly abused by starvation and other

I am in a state of peaceful contentment right now, having wielded the
delete button so there are no longer any messages at all shown on
Alt.RV or RORT.  I tried to stay interested, to take part in some of
the discussions, but it's all become so Michael Jackson-ish, that with
SEND IN THE CLOWNS05 Feb 2005 14:45 GMT39
The Israelis and the Palestinians seem to have been doing pretty good at
moving towards settling their differences without any outside help or
interference.  They have had to pretty much do this on their own as
George Bush has been too busy telling us how good things are going in
Is nude workout outdoors allowed ? ? ?05 Feb 2005 06:52 GMT2
I'm a mighty muscleman and I want that people see my perfect nude body
while working out.
Is that allowed ?

Off-the-wall question - cremation on the road!04 Feb 2005 18:10 GMT11
I know this is one of the stranger questions that have probably been
asked on this newsgroup, but I have a serious question about the
ability to find cremation services while on the road and in rural
areas of the continental U.S., Canada, and Alaska.

Hello, is this the FBI?"
"Yes. What can I do for you?"
"I'm calling to report about my neighbor Virgil Smith. He is hiding

This is timely since we are going to that area March 26-28. We'll be
staying at Pioneer, but we'll have to drive in to Port Aransas to check
on the free fairy.

Quartzsite and great folks04 Feb 2005 03:10 GMT64
We're sitting here a few miles north of Quartzsite with a group of Escapees.
We're boondocking. Gaaaccckk. I think I'm roughing it when I have 30 amp
service and trees are in the way of finding a satellite signal. But were
here and the people are great. Lon, Carolyn and several ...

The Newbie Chronicles - Part Two: Nobody Makes That Anymore
Okay, just a few more things that need to be fixed and we'll be on the
road. The bathroom vent fan won't turn on, and I can see where that
