Hi gang,
The rally in Sarasota was over this morning..... I hooked up in a
driving rain and set out up I-75.
There were accidents everywhere. The rain was so bad traffic was

Last summer while camped on the Oregon Coast we saw a travel trailer
with an upstairs bedroom at the rear that would sleep two children. Any
know who makes them? Have a friend who is looking.

GPS Recommendations03 Mar 2005 00:16 GMT49
In the interest of appeasing those who don't think we talk about enough RV
stuff, here is <drum roll> an RV related question!
I have just gotten a new laptop and am contemplating get a GPS setup for it.
In my brief search, I am leaning toward the DeLorme Earthmate 2005 system.
Rear axel "flipped"02 Mar 2005 23:08 GMT5
I was looking a some 5ers and one had the axel "flipped" The springs
were on top of the axel instead of on the bottom. Another was flipped
and lifted. I am thinking this is not a good idea as far as stability
and to a lesser extent wind resistance. (MPG)
OT_ Back to the Future: the Comstock Act02 Mar 2005 22:30 GMT3
By Nancy K. Montagnino
Some lawyers believed that the 1873 Comstock Act was relegated to the dusty
law books. Think again.
The act was named for Anthony Comstock, the secretary of the New York-based
Any Wi-Fi campgrounds in Alaska?02 Mar 2005 20:12 GMT2
We're flying to Alaska and renting an RV.  I wonder
whether any campgrounds have Wi-Fi, so I can
decide whether to bother bringing along a laptop PC.
Changing the rear axle ratio02 Mar 2005 18:03 GMT26
I've been looking at heavier trailers, particularly the Arctic Fox
27-5L.  The GTWR is 13000 lb.  My trailer guide for the F250 4WD V10
with 3.73 axle ratio says my top is 10700 lb.  With the 4.3 axle I can
go to 13700 lb.
Diesel owners....cash back?02 Mar 2005 09:41 GMT12
Was talking to a workmate today who told me that over the weekend he had his
taxes done. As he drives a lot of miles to and from work, his tax preparer
told him he should get rid of his Dodge 1/2 ton V-8 and get a diesel. It
seems, according to the tax person, that the Federal ...
Battery Woes02 Mar 2005 08:53 GMT6
Damn, my day started off really well.  On top of my cold coming back
to haunt me, the batteries died in my F350 this am.  It's been acting
a little sluggish lately.  When it's been cold (less than 30 degrees)
outside it has been slow cranking unless I plug in the block heater.
