California camping22 Mar 2005 19:02 GMT71
We drove up CA-1 from San Simeon to the Santa Cruz area today. The road
was fine for a 40' MH and toad. The first State park we stopped
at--Seacliff State Beach--was full at noon. That's OK. Sites were $45 a
night. That's right, $45 for a campsite.

Cajun Country around Lafayette, LA----long22 Mar 2005 16:20 GMT5

We stopped by Café Des Amis in the small antique town of Breaux Bridge
on the banks of Bayou Teche for lunch.  Café Des Amis has long been a
favorite dining place of ours.  I especially enjoy their turtle soup,
"patio rugs" ???? recommendations?22 Mar 2005 16:12 GMT3
OK, I want to obtain a decent "patio rug" to lay just outside the RV
door and under the awning.  But, I don't want it to be waterproof.  I
want the water to be able to run through the rug and not collect to make
puddles on top of it (I hope I make sense?).  And, I don't want to ...

Now That's What I call Progress21 Mar 2005 22:10 GMT5
Man just departed the farm with my last piece of machinery, the
mower conditioner. Didn't get as much money for it as I wanted but
you never do. Now I'm really not a farmer, no cows left to feed, no
horses to train nor hay to cut. Also a dude walked up to me and ask
Pace Arrow holding tank guage 21 Mar 2005 22:06 GMT10
My '85 Pace Arrow has a holding tank guage that says "1" or "2". Which is
the black water and the grey water tank?  I haven't used the MH much and
have dumped when either one got to 3/4 full, but it would be good to know.

Line of Credit21 Mar 2005 21:51 GMT21
I was in the grocery store the other day talking with a loan officer
at the Bank of America branch there about loan rates.  I told her that
I might want to buy a used trailer sometime soon, and might like to
prearrange credit to save time.  She suggested a line of credit
Infrequent use of diesel/gas motorhome21 Mar 2005 18:55 GMT14
If a motorhome will be used about once a month, is there any advantage
to gas or diesel?
Fuel Costs21 Mar 2005 12:47 GMT23
Will $56.00 oil projected to hit $70-$80.00 by years end affect Rvers?
Lafayette, LA in the heart of Cajun Country21 Mar 2005 06:46 GMT6
We finally left our stick & brick place in Pensacola and headed west
for the summer.  We have been trying to get away for a few days but
finally managed to do it today.
We enjoyed the ride along I-10.  The grip of winter is giving way to
Ford Transmissions21 Mar 2005 05:56 GMT38
Looking for info on transmissions found on the Ford E350 and E450 chassis:
- what are the different versions back to 1997?
- life expectancy for towing (we will be getting a ~24' Class C and towing
about 4000 lbs of boat)
Ford front aglinment21 Mar 2005 03:15 GMT21
Group:
I have an 03 GB 34' class A on a Ford chassis with 10000 miles. The front
tires are worn to the cord. I had Goodyear Truck  Tire Co. here do the
replacement and the alignment. The front end was towed in excess of 1.6
F-250 Superduty brake rotors CRACKED21 Mar 2005 02:46 GMT6
A friend at work changed the rotors on his superduty the other day and
showed up to work the following day in a rental car.  He said after
changing the rotors the truck shook violently when braking.  He had to
leave it at the shop he was doing the work at, and get a rental since ...
The new stamp, another point of view. Was "The New Seamp"?  or at lest Republicans can spell.21 Mar 2005 02:02 GMT1
The  US Postal Service created a stamp with a picture of President
William Jefferson Clinton to honor his  achievements.  In daily use it
was shown that the stamp was not  sticking to envelopes.
This enraged The Slickster, who demanded a full investigation.
