Travel report.05 Apr 2005 22:38 GMT7
Left Double Adobe in a hurry Sunday morning about 10 AM after a dust
storm started brewing.  Took AZ 80 and NM 80 to where it intersects
with NM 9.  Entire mountains are yellow with blossoms.  I mean HUGE
mountains that are solid yellow for miles and miles.  Never saw
Wi-Fi Cantenna05 Apr 2005 22:38 GMT1
I built a cantenna out of a Pringles can, some threaded rod, washers,
lock washers, nuts and some coax cable.  I followed the directions i
had for the most part, but i had to improvize on some things because
some items were not available to me.
Towing Dingy with Engine running05 Apr 2005 17:02 GMT27
Hi All !!
OK this may sound weird but I went to a hitch shop to check out my towing
options....they recommend I tow my car equipped with automatic transmission
flat and leave the engine running to lubricate !!! The guy at the counter
Generator Muffler05 Apr 2005 15:52 GMT18
I have a cheap 5 kw generator on a cart that is unbelievably loud.  I've
reviewed the past threads about adding a better muffler to a generator.  I
understand that mechanical noise is a good portion of the noise.  I am not
interested in a "stack".  I am not interested in an ...

BILL'S Product Advisory #1 or #2, how ever you consider it.
A few weeks ago I was down town and in a Dollar store shopping
around. I needed several things that would be useful, one was a
small toilet bowl brush and it's little cup it rests in. Of course

The house sitter showed up05 Apr 2005 03:56 GMT8
We have stayed home too long, so we called our house sitter! We leave
tomorrow for the SW, so it can warm up in Atlanta. We want to see the
desert in full bloom, and from all reports, this is a rare year that
only comes every 50 or so years. We'll also be visiting friends in
Weighing RV's04 Apr 2005 18:27 GMT10
I don't presently own and RV but am looking into it. One question that
occurs to me is how you weigh an RV. Four questions.
1) The answer is "go to a truck stop scale." I know that but the question
is what do you do when you get there? Just drive onto the scale or go
Waterton Lakes National Park to Banff routing?04 Apr 2005 16:56 GMT2
I was considering taking our 34 ft motorhome when leaving Waterton
Lakes by traveling PH-6 north to PH-3 to PH-22 up to the Trans Canada
Hwy 1 and on to Banff.
Has anyone traveled this route?  Are the roads good?  We're traveling
Dehumidifier for the RV04 Apr 2005 16:16 GMT28
I'm looking for feedback on how people control the humidity in their RV's.
I've been looking at dehumidifiers but most that are used in the home would
take up valuable space in the RV especially if you are not going to need it
on a particular trip.
PING:  Neon John04 Apr 2005 12:33 GMT2
Hi John
Just thought I would pass on that I did do the check on my Thetford IV
toilet and as you said in you moment of wisdom, it was easier to take
the whole thing out than to try and work on it partially disassembled.
Motorhome lights04 Apr 2005 04:33 GMT2
I have a 1977 Dodge Motorhome. All lights were working until  two
weeks ago. Then the rear passenger side directional signal and brake
light stopped working.  Now, in addition to that, the two front parking
lights and directional signals and the rear drivers side directional and
