RV Cargo Weight16 Jun 2005 21:54 GMT50
When we add all of our personal items to the RV in preparation of
traveling there is always the thought of weight considerations.
Last year I replaced my desk top CRT monitor with a Liquid Christal
flat screen. At the time I did notice the tremendous weight
GPS advice sought16 Jun 2005 21:16 GMT11
What gps devices and software are people using/recommending?
I stumbled on some brand (Deluo) that looks reasonably priced, but it comes
with software that requires you to be hooked up to the internet (while
traveling?!), or, alternatively, they also sell MS Streets & Trips for ...
RV Cleaning Again16 Jun 2005 21:07 GMT3
Ok I've tried all the stuff at Camoping World and I take my Fift Whell
through the truck wash also.
I still can't get rid of the damned black streaks.
Is there a mild polish reccomended for clear coat on Rvs that might get
Back Pack for car16 Jun 2005 21:02 GMT4
I remember once seeing a car with a big back pack on it's trunk.  The
back pack was held on with a series of straps similar to how the trunk
bike racks are attached.
Does anyone have any idea what these luggage bags are called?  This one
Returning to the Use By Dates on Tires16 Jun 2005 18:14 GMT3
I have had my Dodge Ram for one year with only 15,000 miles on it, none
towing. However I took a tire gage reading and noted it had worn down
2/32nds. Starting at 14/32nds, in the event the wear remained the same
each year, that would require replacement in the six year ...
Traveling in Mexico16 Jun 2005 18:01 GMT34
I see in today's paper that in Neuvo Laredo  (some place or other on the
border) the sheriff was sworn in in the morning and assasinated by evening.
Personally I wouldn't go near that place or any place in Mexico considering
that the damn Federales and the President cant control ...
RV Cleaning16 Jun 2005 17:42 GMT51
I washed the motorhome last night. Left me with a couple of questions. Will
this become a compulsive/obsessive thing and what do you folks use to wash
the slide covers and awnings?
I used McGuire's RV Wash on the RV and wasn't really impressed although much
Fort Lauderdale Campgrounds16 Jun 2005 17:28 GMT1
Has anyone been to the TY (Tokeepeegee Yoongee or something like that)
campground in Fort Lauderdale? What's it like. Need a place to stay for
a couple of days while at a convention. Thanks
Workshop In A Mobile RV Environment16 Jun 2005 14:29 GMT16
When one considers a workshop with metal and wood working capabilities,
what tradeoffs have you made to have a working shop in a mobile rv
environment where every amp, cubic inch of space and pound is precious?
Obviously hand nonpowered tools take on a special importance.
Anode Rod Removal16 Jun 2005 03:01 GMT79
My 21 year old Toyota Dolphin may well have its original anode rod.  I tried
to unscrew it last night and got nervous. I used a medium sized pipe wrench
and got nowhere.  I have a large wrench (36") I could try, but I fear
collateral damage.  Any suggestions?  I am thinking ...
CB antenna for Class A16 Jun 2005 02:12 GMT9
We are planning a trip from Connecticut to the Bay of Fundy. Probably both
sides IE: Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. The antenna that came with our MH
is terrible. It's about 12" tall mounted on the roof and will not stay
tuned.
Self-defense during travelling ...16 Jun 2005 01:21 GMT25
Do you recommend to learn kung fu in case of a terrorist attack during
travelling or should I always take my shotgun with me ?
ORE-CAL Coastal Tsunami_8PM Tuesday16 Jun 2005 00:17 GMT1

Repairing water damage to a ceiling.15 Jun 2005 20:50 GMT26
Our 84 Toyota Dolphin has had some water damage to the ceiling.  I don't
need to be told to fix the leaks first.  It appears that the ceiling
paneling has buckled a bit in places.  What is the easiest way to repair
this?  I am thinking sand out the bumps, fill in the gaps and ...
