My wife and I and our 5 year old son are going on our first RV trip next
week. we have 23 days off work and were hoping to go to California (disney).
Now some say that is not enough time (coming from Alberta) but others
say that is plenty of time. We have never pulled such a such ...
Airstream info17 Jul 2005 18:58 GMT1
I'm currently considering replacing my trailer.  Airstreams are high on
my desirable list and I'm looking for a resource that has floorplans on
past models.  I have the CD from rv.org.  I would appreciate any other
resources to which I could be directed.
CA Hwy 5817 Jul 2005 05:31 GMT11
We wanted to go from Bakersfield (visiting relatives) to the coast (San Luis
Obispo, Morro Bay and points North).  Hwy 58 *looked* like a good route. We
had come from Needles on it and it was good road.
Well, things were fine until we got to the mountains.

You had asked if we were coming to the RV show in Hershey, and I said no.
The answer is still the same, but there is a chance we will be coming to
Hershey in the early fall, read most likely mid October. We will be in New
England until about the 10th or so of Oct and then heading ...
WI Fi Help, please16 Jul 2005 18:18 GMT47
My several year old laptop went out in a blaze of glory, literally, so
I bought a new Toshiba recently.
Previously. I used a Belkin G card and had fine wi fi connections. but
this new set has a built in adaper so no card is necessary. For the
12 Volt Takeoff15 Jul 2005 23:27 GMT16
I'm pretty good at flashlight batteries but beyond that my electrical
knowledge gets much weaker so maybe someone can help me out. I'm hooking up
the macerator in our Winnie and I'm wondering if there's any reason why I
shouldn't pull the power to it from the 12 volt connection ...
Looking for a quality foot pump15 Jul 2005 20:59 GMT5
Can any of you recommend a quality foot pump that can put 80 psi into
trailer tires? Something with heavy construction, made to last.
I have a couple of those cheap 12 volt compressors, but they take for
ever to get a tire from 50 psi to 70, and that's as far as I had
Magdalen islands15 Jul 2005 19:30 GMT3
Has anyone travelled with an RV from Souris, PEI to the Magdalens? If
so, what height/length limitations apply. Fares are listed on the web
site, but not this info. Secondly, we are booked at a campsite on teh
main Island and later on the most northerly. Any advice on late August ...
Streets and Trips with GPS receiver?15 Jul 2005 18:45 GMT44
Say what you will, that MS Streets and Trips with a GPS receiver looks prety
attractive at 100 bucks. Anybody have anything good or bad to say about this
bad boy, or any similarly priced alternatives? I know S&T lacks voice and
that is a drawback. Intended use is to navigate from ...
Ford trailer brakes15 Jul 2005 17:27 GMT5
I am curious if anybody here has the factory installed Ford trailer braking
system. Both my 2005 F350 and my son's F250 Super Duties are equipped with
this system and we both have a bit of a problem with it.
The brakes work well when towing at speeds above 10-15 mph and require very

Will Sill needs a refill on his Prozac.15 Jul 2005 13:07 GMT30
I am really getting sick and tired of Mr. Sill's rants and raves here
on rec.outdoors.rv-travel. This forum has turned into a dumping ground
for this PRICK. Can't this scumbag take his meds (prozac, perhaps?)
before he shares his two cents with the rest of us?
