Fridge quit, saved money..15 Jul 2005 05:43 GMT3
This may help someone.
Recently our ten year old Norcold fridge, model number 6162 quit
working on electric.  Or rather, it worked intermittently.  It would
start to cool, then quit.  It worked well on gas.

I have a 99 Southwind with a Dometic 11 cu. ft. side-by-side freezer. I
normally leave it on AC, even when  I am home base with it.
I turned it off for a few days to clean it up, defrost it, and get ready for
a trip. I turned it back on and closed the doors but it does not seem to ...

Bob
You are a wonderful writer but reading your stuff would be both easier
and more fun if you would set your system to wrap at under 72 characters

Hi Gang,
I'm in Lamar Colorado and a bus conversion just pulled in next to me.
It's not as interesting as the last two I wrote about it but it does
have one unique feature.

A new toy14 Jul 2005 19:08 GMT2
Most of you know that digital photography is one of my hobbies. Went into
Minneapolis yesterday and bought Mary a new lens for her Canon D60. It's a
Tamron 28 - 300 zoom and appears to be a pretty darn good lens. She had been
trying to use the G-2 but the shutter lag drove her ...
Ping Will, RE: Rapists and Street Whores14 Jul 2005 18:49 GMT31
I slept on the idea of this post because I didn't want to rush into a
quagmire. Better to plod into one, I guess. <g>
IMHO, your response to Jan Orme comparing your behavior to that of a
rapist is not consistent with the latitude you claim as your own poetic

Buying from Cruise America?14 Jul 2005 15:51 GMT25
We are looking at a 28' with 78,000 miles on it. It seems like a good price
with a good warranty. Can anyone tell me about their experiences buying a RV
from Cruise America? It is a 2002 with a Ford V10, and when I test drove it
, it was very quiet. I'm afraid of the mileage, but ...
Wal-Mart Boondocking:  Another Viewpoint14 Jul 2005 14:05 GMT130
I know this subject has been discussed to death, but...  I thought I'd pass on
a story told to me by a campground owner.  By the way, I've never boondocked
at a Wal-Mart, and I don't criticize those that do so in a responsible manner.
(What is "responsible parking at Wal-Mar" is ...
Nova Scotia Question14 Jul 2005 06:58 GMT11
We're heading for NS in a few weeks. I don't care what their camping
policies are, so that is not part of my question.
We will be there for between 2 and 3 weeks in Aug and I'm wondering what
part of the NS is a must see? I know I want to see the Bay of Funday, but
