Brake Pro Wiring?06 Jul 2005 01:48 GMT1
We have just moved from a Chevy Tracker to Saturn Vue.  The increased
weight makes it important to have an auxiliary braking system.  We like
the features of the Brake Pro but need to know what sort of wiring
arrangement is needed between the MH and Vue.  Presently we have the
Securing a Roof Air Conditioner Cover06 Jul 2005 01:47 GMT16
For those of us who don't buy a new RV every three years, the problem of the
plastic roof air conditioning covers eventually show up.  For those of you
who haven't been on your roofs, the covers over roof-mounted air
conditioners are plastic.  Baked and frozen, they eventually ...
Another newbie question06 Jul 2005 00:43 GMT14
Been shopping for a used class A for about 4 months.  I found one today that
I'm interested in, but have a concern about one coach system I don't
understand.  The seller told me only one AC can be run at a time.  Living
down here in Texas where it was 101 today, that seems about ...
Slide-Outs opinions05 Jul 2005 22:54 GMT3
I stopped to talk at a place I thought was selling RVs.  Turned out the
TVs were parked on the next neighbor's lot for storage.
But...  Also turns out the guy who I talked to had sold RVs in the past
and was both knowledgeable and friendly.
Overheight Advice Needed05 Jul 2005 22:54 GMT41
Hi Gang,
We recently sold our TT and purchased a 5th wheel.
With the TT, I could carry my canoe (16') on a rack mounted on the bed
rails of my truck. Life was good.

For those of us that will be flying the flag this weekend
here is some handy information.
Have a great celebration on this anniversary of our
country's founding.
Promised Land State Park05 Jul 2005 18:14 GMT11
Anyone take their rig to Promised Land State Park in PA?  I'm headed out
there tomorrow (Fri) for the weekend.     Got a boondocking site right by
the lake in the Pickerel Point camping area.  The front receiver for the
truck hasn't come yet, so I still don't know if the bikes are ...
Crack in Fender of Travel Trailer05 Jul 2005 16:45 GMT14
I found a 3" crack/split in one of the plastic fenders on my 9 year old
trailer.  Any suggestions on what to use to fill or repair the crack?
Thanks,
Glenn
RVing in Alaska05 Jul 2005 15:20 GMT19
I am looking to go RVing in Alaska around the last week of August. I
would be grateful if someone can answer a few questions:
* Can anyone recommend a good place to rent a RV in Anchorage?
* Will I be able to find camgrounds at this time of the year?
Best RVs05 Jul 2005 15:16 GMT11
I'd like to get the group's opinion on the best RVs
a newbie like myself might consider for his first foray
into RVing.
I consider the Chevy Impala, the Toyota Camry, and the
Braking fade05 Jul 2005 13:02 GMT3
Did some recent mountain driving and brakes created a terrible burning odor
like insulation on wire burning.  After that I made it a point to put it in
low and stay at 28 mph going up and down.  It that typical of braking
systems on RV's?  I used the drive the mountain when I was ...
TV Antennae05 Jul 2005 11:11 GMT4
I'm doing some research for my mum's motorhome (RV). Are
there any Oz motorhomers reading who can give feedback on
the various amplified TV antennas available please? She is
looking at one of the ones that is mounted on the roof and
TV Interferance05 Jul 2005 04:16 GMT8
AFter 6000miles and 2 months have come up with all
sorts of questions.  <sigh>
The TV has lines and 'dots' that move across the screen.
Disconnected everything and ran the TV with a cord out
Towing a fifth wheel05 Jul 2005 03:14 GMT32
I am about to purchase a new fifth wheel travel trailer to be pulled
with my 2000 Chevy 1 ton.  My truck has the 7.4 L (454) engine with 4.1
rear end ratio.  All the RV sales reps tell me I can pull anything with
my truck, but the owner's manual says differently.
Check the roof05 Jul 2005 02:12 GMT5
With all the fireworks going off around here I decided to check my rubber
roof sure enough there is a hole burned in the roof about the size of a
quarter and and the remains of a skyrocket.
I have no idea where it came from people go nuts around here this time of
