Trailer weight determination02 Jul 2005 20:58 GMT5
Do all trailers have a tag on them indicating both dry and wet weight?
I would assume so, but we haven't got the the stage of actually
actively looking for one to buy yet.  For us, we need to find a
lightweight travel (*not* tent) trailer as our Sequoia is only good for
Trailer hitch 'noise' help02 Jul 2005 20:22 GMT3
Am towing a TT which connects to the vehicle via a
receiver hitch. The hitch/receiver is probably normal,
connect/disconnect works fine.
But...it is loose enough so I get the occasional clunk/
Water Filter/Softener Recommendation02 Jul 2005 17:29 GMT3
I see some people with external cans on their water hose and wonder if
it is worth the price (I think I've seen $300) and if they are
effective.  There is a filter at the kitchen sink for the separate
drinking water faucet.  When I changed it after a year it weighed a

I am looking at a 99 Dolphin motorhome and need to know what to look
for in the V10 motor and if Dolphin is a decent unit.
Thanks

Court Retirement02 Jul 2005 01:53 GMT14
Just heard on the news that O'conner has submitted her notice of
resignation.  Looks like the Pres is going to have at least 2 nominees
before the yr is over.  The fight is on.
Will be interesting to see who/what-kind of nominee Bush offers up for
Re:OT fer yur funny bone01 Jul 2005 17:12 GMT6
Since we considered flying to Alaska, I signed up for the Delta Sky
Miles/American  Express Credit Card and promptly got thousands
of free Sky Miles.  Had it for about 6 months and made a few
purchases.  I paid off the balance every month, except in the
50 amp service wiring01 Jul 2005 15:31 GMT4
In anticipation of delivery of a new 5th wheel rv next week, I want to
install a 50 amp RV service for it from my house to the area it will be
stored.  I don't have the wiring diagrams yet and would like to confirm that
the standard 50 amp RV service involves two "hot" feeds with ...
Manhattan, Kansas RV Park?01 Jul 2005 14:29 GMT7
Does anyone know of a good place to park a 32' motor home for a week or
so in or near Manhattan?  There's nothing listed in my Good Sam guide,
Fort Riley doesn't have a FamCamp and the Chamber of Commerce hasn't
answered my e-mail.
Trailering with pets01 Jul 2005 12:23 GMT104
Looking for a truck and trailer after retirement to travel and am trying
to consider everyone's safety and comfort above all.
We've only had motorhomes until the kids grew up.  We've travelled with
our 13 year old Dachshund and 3 younger cats in the motorhomes.  Now, I
NSOT:  extreme voyeurism?01 Jul 2005 05:56 GMT4
This is nearly the worst I've ever read!
http://www.local6.com/news/4662466/detail.html:  Excerpt (sp?):  "It's a
very filthy environment, and before we put anybody in contact with him,
we had to decontaminate him," Hebert said. "We treated him as if he were

Latest from SC01 Jul 2005 04:42 GMT39
Just read this a little while ago.  From my standpoint it doesn't bode
well for private property rights.  Was a split decision with votes
coming along well defined lines.

Buying Clothes for the RV (was Ocala Horse Park)01 Jul 2005 04:37 GMT6
Every good RVing lady knows the rules: buy something new and get rid of
something old-----OF HIS.
Face it gals, weight is weight. Space is space. Neither weight nor space
recognize gender. <vbg>
Golf Cart Battery Modification01 Jul 2005 02:34 GMT14
OK, Kevin. Here it is. I didn't take a picture of the old setup. Not
thinking ahead I guess, so I would appreciate it if you would send a picture
of your battery setup so I can add it to the page.
It makes a tight fit but it worked. Thanks to Lon.
