Tire Changing on an RV22 Jul 2005 06:58 GMT27
I am considering purchasing a rechargeable Impact Wrench to take the lug
nuts off the RV if I break down out in the boonies.
Sears has a Craftsman rated to do the job but it is around 300.00.
Has anyone seen a better deal.
Good Sam's Trip Program22 Jul 2005 05:30 GMT2
I just tried Good Sam's trip program for the car trip to NJ. It's a nice
program. You can plug in all kinds of variables and get some really good
info. It will give you average fuel prices for whatever fuel you use,
campgrounds, weather links, rest areas, highy info numbers and a ...
Motorhome Saga, Part III22 Jul 2005 03:34 GMT11
We managed to hitch up and make it over to the dealer's today. It didn't
take as long to hitch up. Changed the Brake Buddy sensitivity to #5 as
suggested. The dealer will install the breakaway for us. We remembered
that friends with a Newmar Dutch Star once saw their car pass them. ...

my husband and I are going to be building a new home and are wanting
to buy a travel trailer to live in while we build.  We have 2 small
children (7 & 5) and want one with a seperate bunk room for them.
Are there any manufacturers who make these other than Wildcat by
Hey Alan Balmer21 Jul 2005 22:30 GMT3
I don't remember what I said to you that you percieved as snotty, but I
do apoligize to you.  I don't remember trying to be snotty.  I haven't
looked back to see what I said, but since you mentioned it twice its
obviously bothering you and you seem like a decent fellow so if I
Water heater problem21 Jul 2005 22:28 GMT8
We have an Atwood 6.2 gal water heater, model GCAA-9E. We use it on propane.
Lately the reset light has been coming on with some frequency. Usually
turning it off & back on will start it back up, but sometimes we have to
leave it off for a while before it will restart.
Bruiser and Trailer Both Falling Apart21 Jul 2005 20:34 GMT4
Hi gang,
Well sheesh, if it's not one thing it's another.
Yesterday I went to Crested Butte.... fabulous!  The whole time I was
driving I could smell diesel fuel.  I've never smelled it before so
Need info on parking/maneuvering RV and 5th wheels21 Jul 2005 20:31 GMT48
We live in a small town that is in the preliminary stages of renovations of
down town and is reviewing the options for the provisioning of designated RV
(friendly) parking.
I need a source of either official or unofficial of standards and more
San Francisco to Atlanta21 Jul 2005 18:27 GMT17
This group has been so very helpful with RV'n and towing issues in the
past, I would like to call on the collective experience for some
routing assistance.  I will not be in the camper this time.  I need to
drive to Atlanta from San Francisco later this summer.  Mapquest
Hunter thermostats21 Jul 2005 16:49 GMT11
We are at an Escapees Chapter 6 rally, and two couples here have
thermostat problems. I recall several people suggesting Hunter
thermostats, and mentioned them. One guy present was convinced that they
won't work in an RV because of voltage differences.
Ping: Cris Bryant, re Water Heater21 Jul 2005 14:50 GMT2
I added a check valve to the cold line at the water heater. My problem
is the center or working section of the valve keeps separating from the
base and goes into the heater. I don't know if the hot water causes the
plastic to expand and allow the keeper on the cold side to ...
Poster Putty21 Jul 2005 13:31 GMT2
In my continuing quest to wallpaper the inside of my motorhome with
pictures, I have been working on improving my technique.
The first improvement was finding Poster Putty and or Handi-Tak to stick the
pictures up without tape. Putting a tiny thin tab of this stuff under each
RVers Interest In Our National Parks21 Jul 2005 13:26 GMT1

Under the header privitization it states that the Bush Administration is
planning on giving up to half of the National Parks jobs to private
Furnace OK on shore power, no-go on battery21 Jul 2005 06:02 GMT10
I recently purchased a 19-year old Class-C motor home. The furnace
works properly when plugged into shore power, but the burner does not
ignite when running on battery power. The blower fan works properly,
but the flame does not come on. In both cases, the furnace follows the
Motorhome Sage- Part II21 Jul 2005 05:33 GMT20
We have loaded a lot of stuff under the motorhome. It holds a little
less than the Kountry Aire Fiver and MDT's storage bays.  The inside
storage is definitely not suitable for fulltiing unless one is a
minimalist. I'm not going to be able to do any gourmet cooking in the
