What is  ?12 Sep 2005 02:12 GMT5
I was searching around today and found a newsgroups called
"REC.OUTDOORS.RV-TRAV" Notice no "el" on the end. Not many posts, but I was
trying to figure out why the new news group with such a similar name.

Potential disaster11 Sep 2005 22:48 GMT16
Monday, good friends of ours left the Chapter 6 rally at Centreville,
MI, headed for Monroe, Michigan and serious surgery for Carole.
A little History. These folks have been fighting the battle of their
lives for the past 3 years. Carole had breast cancer, and completed
A walk back in time11 Sep 2005 20:58 GMT58
No, this isn't off topic folks. I just Googled back to
'95-'96 in the rec.outdoor.rv-travel newsgroup. Didn't find
any political crap. Did find many current posters and they
all, including me and Will Sill, were civil. I'd like to

Baton Rouge?11 Sep 2005 15:29 GMT19
Hi gang,
Does anyone know if Baton Rouge campgrounds have power and spaces?
Does anyone here have a driveway open, with 30 amp service?
I'm headed there before Pensacola, they are in a mess with the horses
International pickup11 Sep 2005 05:39 GMT5
I saw one of those ultra large International pickups about 15 minutes ago.
Shouldn't have any trouble with just about any travel trailer or 5th wheel
trailer with that truck.
Roadworthy Recipes11 Sep 2005 03:52 GMT2

EU2000i Honda Test Run11 Sep 2005 03:46 GMT2
In one of the previous conversations about subject generators it was
thought that if you had one of the new lower power requirement air
conditioners, one gen set might be able to pull it. I indicated the
next run time on my sets, I would test that theory. Sure enough, I
Disneyland Campground11 Sep 2005 03:22 GMT1
In years past I've stayed at Orangeland in Orange, CA when visiting
Disneyland.  With all the remodeling Disneyland has done in recent years, is
there a better place?
Okatoma River Campground [MS]11 Sep 2005 03:09 GMT1
Anybody know the status of Okatoma River Campground near Hattiesburg, MS?
I have a friend who lives there.
Haven't been able to contact them.

Buccaneer State Park  Mississippin photos (note these are BIG files) after Katrina11 Sep 2005 01:35 GMT5
Buccaneer State Park sustained surprisingly little damage considering it was
RIGHT on the beach.  It appears the wave missed that section and the only
damage is wind. (qualification views from on high are deceptive -- I'll post
more when we have ground access into the area)
slide-in pop-up campers & tailgates10 Sep 2005 23:09 GMT10
It seems that all of the regular cab pickups I see anymore, with a
pop-up slide-in camper installed, are not able to have a "closable"
tailgate.
Who is to blame?  The truck manufacturer, or the camper maker?
Chaco Canyon10 Sep 2005 22:02 GMT10
They're talking about paving the road to it.

I agree with the electrician.
But I would agree with grading it a little more frequently - but not
Interesting Idea10 Sep 2005 14:11 GMT12
Hi Gang,
Yesterday I went south on 71 past Bastrop TX.  Somewhere along the way
I noticed a campground and in it was something I haven't seen before.
I'm not sure if it was a truck camper, like a Lance, or a Class C. I
Sunseeker 200210 Sep 2005 13:44 GMT6
Hi. I am a newbie about to buy my first RV. I'm seriously looking at a
used 2002 Sunseeker 31' Class C coach. Wonder what the thoughts are for
any Sunseeker owners out there. Anything to REALLY watch for?  It has
only 7,500 miles on it.
