According to the starband website (at
http://www.starband.com/special/mobile.asp) They have two types of internet
systems for RV's. An Auto system (dish on the roof), and a manual system
(uses a tripod).
Vent fan not replaceable25 Sep 2005 01:36 GMT6
My vent fan motor died..  The whole unit is Philips_Ventline V2094.
IT LOOKS like to get the motor out ..you have to drill out
rivets...and then I am not sure I can get a replacement. I don't think
the fan hub pulls off the shaft.
My lots in Az.24 Sep 2005 23:21 GMT72
There have been some questions about my lots in Arizona. I've bought the
domain name tdsrvresort.com (Tierra del Sol RV Resort), and built a page
dedicated to the RV Park and the surrounding area.
If you want to take a look at them, the link is:
Re: Install wood laminate and place of carpet?  (Hunter)24 Sep 2005 20:48 GMT7
Holiday Rambler does make units with slides without carpet.  They have
to be special ordered. I didn't ask about the wood laminate floors but
as Ralph E. pointed out there's still the problem of the"floating
floor"because they have to float according to the installation

Not fast on the road, but really good, and tough, off road.
Plus, burn diesel, gas, kero, or jet fuel, with the multi-fuel engine.
SNOW, Snow, snow24 Sep 2005 18:58 GMT1
As we travel around I email a "group gram" to friends and family.  I
just sent this one out and thought some of you all might be
interested.  I'm opposed to snow at any time, but really draw the line
at Sept.
CB Radios24 Sep 2005 18:11 GMT28
OK, this rig I just bought does not have a CB - some used MHs do.
I haven't installed a CB for 12 years and the last one I put in went
with the MH when I sold it.
Hope you folks can advise me about best brands out there now - and
I think I caused a winterization problem24 Sep 2005 12:24 GMT19
Went from fifth wheel to a park model a few years back.  It has a
"house" type 110V electric water heater.  When I've winterized it the
last few years, I ran a little pink stuff into the water heater after
it was fully drained, just for insurance.  The heating element has
FloJet Macerator24 Sep 2005 03:09 GMT9
Well, lemme try to get this place back on RV topic for a second or two.
We're staying at a friends house for the month while my wife recovers from
minor surgery, and we go to various yearly appointments.
We are plugged into his house including a sewer hookup that comes out of
I predict Bush........24 Sep 2005 03:01 GMT28
...will go to Texas today - when the hurricane hits - he will steal
Anderson Cooper's yellow raincoat - and go out and play in the wind and
rain - to show the victims - "he feels their pain."

Duramax vs Powerstrokie23 Sep 2005 23:52 GMT42
OK, I know this one's going to start a flame fest, but I'd like to hear
from people who have actually used and driven both the Chevrolet
Duramax/Allison and the Ford 6.0 Powerstroke/AT and can give real life
comparisons on pulling power and durability.  I may have a chance to buy ...
Planning A Trip...23 Sep 2005 23:49 GMT8
From Kansas to Alaska. Via Mt. Rushmore & Yellowstone. Spend some time
in Denali & Anchorage. Marine Coast Highway back to Juneau and then on
to Bellingham, WA.
Few days in Seattle area then south along the coast highways with a
Tank flushing systems23 Sep 2005 21:40 GMT7
What are the feelings between the "RV Quickie Flush," "No-Fuss Flush" and
the "Tank Worm?"  Which would work better with a standard water pump or do
they all need city water pressure to work?

Rita 4AM Path23 Sep 2005 15:30 GMT10
As of 4AM, Rita is now on the "nuclear path" for Houston -- straight up
Galveston Bay, which means maximum storm surge up through the Houston Ship
Channel.
We're leaving........
