inverter to charger16 Sep 2005 23:48 GMT2
Hi, I have always wondered if this would work at all...I have a 450w
inverter on my boat, connected to two deep cycle batteries which are
re-charged by the boats alternator. Is it possible to plug an
automotive battery charger (2amp or more)into the inverter and
Seeking SMALL 12-volt kettle16 Sep 2005 23:06 GMT19
I'm looking for a compact kettle or boiler for bringing a small amount
of water (no more than a cup [250ml]) to boil, or at least very hot.
Tried the immersion coils, and they are too wimpy. All the other 12-v
kettles I've seen so far are for a quart (1 liter) or more of liquid.

2005/06 Coachman Santara16 Sep 2005 02:38 GMT9
We are considering a new Santara. Anyone own a newer one, and if so any
good or bad comments would be appreciated.
We are first time motor home buyers, and think we want the rear island
queen bed arrangement. Any experienced folks out there have any
RV's to Katrina Victims16 Sep 2005 02:01 GMT2
I wonder how the price of new/used RV's will be affected by the huge numbers
sent to Katrina victims.  I doubt that any would live in "Used" units, but a
shortage of new units could affect the sale of older units.
One of our local dealers is shipping dozens of them down there "at or ...

New Tires for the Old GMC16 Sep 2005 00:51 GMT2
Went in to WalMart and seen a nice looking tire on sale and decided
to put new rubber on the old truck. It has just over 120,000 miles
on it and has the second set of tires, Michelin LTX-AT, load range
C. And still has 5/32" tread remaining, but they were built in 458,
Question about taking money to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point)16 Sep 2005 00:40 GMT9
Last year we went to Cancun and found it difficult to cash travellers
checks (American Express).
Because of forgeries the places that would accept them paid a lower
exchange rate when we purchased pesos.  Something about 'forgery
Looters anyone?16 Sep 2005 00:14 GMT9
The smart a.s Australian's who seem to think that the rest of the world is
more civilized than the US when it comes to looting should read the lastest
AP release describing the burning of abandoned synagogues and looting of
greenhouses  in Gaza.  The greenhouses were recently ...
