Phoenix to Brookings, OR04 Oct 2005 16:24 GMT9
Sometime in the next couple of months, we're planning to go to
Brookings, OR. Delorme suggests that we pick up US 101 at San
Francisco, and it looks like there aren't many choices ;-)
Any comments on the routing, driving and weather conditions, etc,

I was in Southern Utah for a couple of weeks, moving all around, a couple of weeks ago and saw the
following:
1.  In the Cedar CIty Wal-Mart there was a 5th wheel huge toy hauler, compete with an ATV in the
back (the back door was open).  It must have been close to 40 feet in length ...
Campground Voyeurism 04 Oct 2005 04:37 GMT1
Campground Voyeurism by Al Van Hauter
Flames flickering, embers glowing, smoke gently furling skyward, all
eyes are glued hypnotically to the fire in the ring. This typical, if
there is such a thing, campground filled with a group of campers. Great

TT moving across mud .. red carpet? wood chips?03 Oct 2005 22:16 GMT1
The new trailer pad is already ready, but there's a muddy soft area about
15 feet  across that we'll have to move the trailer over to get on the pad.
(Rains started and getting gravel out here is difficult any time.)
I'm leery of putting down plywood or anything rigid to drive over, ...
TT parked in a mud puddle03 Oct 2005 21:26 GMT9
Well, it isn't a mud puddle yet, and most years it doesn't become a mud
puddle. But people say that occasionally the place we're parked does get
water backed up for a few days.
So we're thinking of putting the trailer up on some sort of blocks or
Twiltley Branch COE campground03 Oct 2005 20:49 GMT9
Do any of you know the condition of Twiltley Branch COE campground, in
Meridian, MS?
We have a 6 day reservation there starting Friday. I expect that if it
wasn't open, I would get some sort of notification.

Was that you shooting at 0657?  Somebody was killing those poor,
innocent wood ducks and breaking up families.
I don't know how they sleep at night.....

The trip plan is set03 Oct 2005 06:11 GMT9
A few days ago I asked about when to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lots of
feedback, and I appreciate it.
The plan is to hit it during the spring, on our way back North, and then
West. We've made the decision to stick close to the coast, see some of the

Has any one reviewed the e book from RVBookstore.com "RVers Guide to

If so, does it have any useful information that a less computer

Is it safe to ride in a pull behind trailer while driving03 Oct 2005 00:55 GMT24
I have always had the understanding that, for safely reasons, it was not a
good idea to ride in a pull behind RV or 5th wheel when travelling.
What is the reality of the situation.  First of all, is it legal?  Second,
is it really that dangerous, provided a good driver is behind ...
I-5 or 99?02 Oct 2005 16:58 GMT13
We'll be heading south shortly (WA/OR/CA to I-8, AZ), and just wondered if
anyone who has traveled these routes recently has any input about road
conditions and such.
Especially south of Sacramento, where there is a choice between 5 or 99.
