The spring, sprung.28 Oct 2005 02:45 GMT13
On Friday morning we were getting ready to move sites over at Duncan's
Family Camping, in Lothian, MD. We were just about done with the outside
stuff, and Mary says, "Oh, crap, I forgot to tell you that while you were
gone, there was a big, loud noise from this side of the MH." ...
The TransCommand Unit28 Oct 2005 00:30 GMT22
I was talking to a knowledgeable guy last weekend and he mentioned enjoying
success with the TransCommand unit. It had firmed up the shifts in a
previous RV he owned. I notice that our Winnie is somewhat sluggish on
shifting, particularly from 3rd to overdrive when on a slight ...
Metal Frame TT27 Oct 2005 18:01 GMT26
We are considering a new trailer.
What brands of TT are made with metal framing? Superior quality is a must.
We have a '94 Cobra Sandpiper now, which is entry quality at best.
Airstream is a little too pricey. I need a list to start from.
Diesel Prices27 Oct 2005 17:55 GMT11
On my way in to work yestrerday, diesel was 3.1399 per gallon.  On my way
home it was 2.9999.  What happened in one day that caused the price to swing
like that?  Anyone want to take a quess at when I filled up?
Regular unleaded was around 2.6599 per gallon.  Three weeks ago ...

RV Travel Club27 Oct 2005 04:06 GMT4
We are prepairing for our first major trip with our RV.  We plan on
traveling from Ontario Canada to Florida.
We have been looking at getting a membership with an RV Travel club.
The two that stand out are Sam's Club and Passport America. (I have
TAILGATES AND FIFTH WHEELS27 Oct 2005 03:27 GMT14
Do the louvered and notched tailgates prevent the extreme suction I notice
when pulling my fifth wheel or do they just make it easier to hitch?  I've
had some rather heavy items sucked right out of the back of my pick-up.
Thanks in advance for the info.
Les Schwab batteries?27 Oct 2005 01:54 GMT45
Anyone had experience with these?  I understand they recently changed
manufacturers.
Am looking at their Power Pack Deep Cycle for my new "house" battery,
750-850 CCA.
electric blankets, DC 'bed warmers', etc26 Oct 2005 23:08 GMT24
Sunbeam electric blankets don't seem to hold up very long. I've been using
a DC 'bed warmer', "Electro-Warmth" by "Patented Products", that lasts
longer but still gives out after a couple of years, or parts of it stop
heating. Before I order another one, does anyone know of a more ...
Where to buy power connector?26 Oct 2005 21:39 GMT2
Hi all.  I have a 6x10 Pace utility trailer, and I need electricity to
get from outside the trailer to inside.  I have seen covered jacks on
other trailers where you lift a lid and plug up a dropcord, which I
assume are connected inside to some sort of distribution system.
Need To Store Trailer26 Oct 2005 04:10 GMT10
We would like to store our trailer somewhere in VA or SC till sometime
in Jan.
Does anyone know of a well managed and secure storage site within a
few miles of I-95?
Tom M, back to the black hole26 Oct 2005 02:33 GMT13
Hi RORTers,
I enjoyed the last month reading, and rarely contributing to this news group.
On my way to Rio Hondo Texas, I'm staying in Wichita, KS and Monett, MO for a
week each.
Trailer tires25 Oct 2005 21:33 GMT39
My 29 ft. '03 Colorado 5th wheel has 16 inch tires on it.  The tires
have sunrot cracks all around the rim (tires made in China)  Rather
than replacing tires on trailer, would it be O.K  to take the tires
off of my 250 Ford diesel truck (also 16 inch tires) and put them on

Eastbank COE on Lake Seminole25 Oct 2005 14:07 GMT2
If I had known this place was so beautiful, we would have come sooner.
We are parked in a huge campsite, with very little shade, backed in with
our bay windows overlooking Lake Seminole. Very bright, sunny, and
grassy campground, with a gorgeous view of the lake. The only ...
