why a tarp23 Oct 2005 06:47 GMT2
Got the tarp up. All by myself, as Mr. Gypsy in his wheelchair couldn't be
much help. He doesn't do much these days except target shooting.
The tarp went up pretty easy. Used some old tires under it for padding and
air space and to get the slopes right.  This is the best I've ever ...
Tire aging and replacement23 Oct 2005 06:02 GMT20
Apparently Consumer Reports misrepresented what
the auto companies are saying about about tire aging.
GM says,
“The fact is that most tires wear out before they
Adios,  Bob Giddings....23 Oct 2005 00:51 GMT39
Well,  Bob said his farewells,  and pulled out of Rancho dos Estrellas
this morning,  on the road for Los Angeles....
He was "good company".  I gave him a tour of the area,  and he stayed
awake during my lecture on the local flora, & fauna...
Torque Wheel Nuts: Warning23 Oct 2005 00:01 GMT42
Pulled in to a campground Friday night and the guy next to me ( ~35 foot
Grand Teton 5er) was out examining his wheels, says "I got quite a surprise
when I pulled in here yesterday"
me: Oh yes?
Weather forecast - BLECHK!22 Oct 2005 23:07 GMT4
Forecast is for light snow on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday - blah! We're stuck
here for another 6 weeks. Last year we didn't get snow until December 1st -
the day we departed for the south.
I suppose it's better than hurricanes.
Class B MH for sale22 Oct 2005 21:11 GMT91
We've reluctantly decided to consider selling our class B MH.   This
is a home-built rig, based on what was then a new '99 GMC Savana
extended 3500 ("1-ton") van, sporting a pop-up top from Sortsmobile.
It now has 85k miles, runs perfectly and averages about 15 mpg.

The above RV for sale is well within the guidelines of this newsgroup.
Why do so many in this group feel they have to degrade anyone that
post that they are selling their rig? If you don't like the rig or the
30A vs 50A at the breaker box22 Oct 2005 02:36 GMT34
My 5er is set up for 50A. I ordered it pre-wired for a second airconditioner
which is not installed. All this talk recently about inverters got me
thinking about the wiring in my rig, particularly the 115V wiring.
Do I have this right?
Travel observations21 Oct 2005 13:26 GMT159
Noted on our recent trip:
My brother thinks residents of certain States have an R or L printed
on their driver license, and that they choose which (superslab) lane
to use on that basis.  He may be right, but I gotta ask whether the
