I have a 97 bounder with a 4 Jack Leveling system by "Power Gear"
When I park, I try to get the gear down but only hear a clicking sound
in the front of the coach. I have checked all the fuses and they are
fine. I have disconnected and re-connected all the wired connections on

RVs for Katrina Victims, where do they stay?13 Oct 2005 03:32 GMT40
My wife and I are planning a trip next spring across the Southeast including East Texas and
Louisiana.  I've read that FEMA has bought, and has contracted to build, thousands of trailers from
RV dealers and manufacturers.  Where are these people going to stay?  Are they going to ...

Has anyone had to file a claim with their auto insurance company for an
accident or theft in Baja?  What was the name of the company and how well
did they take care of you?
Travel through southern states12 Oct 2005 21:26 GMT3
Hi all,  my dh and I are from Ontario and are considering
wintering/travelling in Texas during February and March.  Does anyone have
any info regarding the state parks or camping facilities available?  I've
been hearing that there isn't a lot of camping space due to the displaced
padding under a tarp over roof12 Oct 2005 20:00 GMT23
We like to have a tarp over the roof in winter, high enough above the roof
to have the vents partly open. I like a transparent plastic sheet rather
than an opaque readymade  tarp.
Last year we used inner tubes to pad and support the plastic sheet. This
WOOHOO - I can access RV satellite TV12 Oct 2005 17:54 GMT2
Finally (woohoo and whew!), I have conquered the "second" considerable
problem to access satellite (DISH) TV whilst away from home in our RV!
I have been unable to get the satellite receiver to acknowledge a signal
from the dish/LNB no matter how I manuevered the "dish."  ...

Does anyone on RORT have one of these?  If so, what kind of signal
strength do you get when compared to the standard Oval Dish for park/home
use?  I currently have the Winegard in motion dish, and regularly get about
Ceiling falling12 Oct 2005 14:58 GMT4
Chicken Little was right, the sky is falling, woops it's not the sky
it's my ceiling.
The "rug" is coming unglued from the wood.  Any suggestions on a good
glue to put it back?  A spray on would be easer than something that
fridge problem12 Oct 2005 07:23 GMT8
It seems my fridge (Norcold; 3-way) is doing something funny.  The
fridge seems to be a newer model replacement.  It works just fine on AC,
but when it runs on LP, a red X (check) light appears on its panel.  Any
clue or suggestion?  Alas, I can't RTFM because I don't have one.  I
Direcway is to Slow to Support Me12 Oct 2005 02:16 GMT57
I had to bite the bullet and drop direcway, they are to slow. I use
video programs and they cannot support the speed and power required
like cable can. Of course there was more to it than just shutting it
down, they charged me a penalty fee for early termination. I should
Hitch at back of  TT, receiver on front of truck12 Oct 2005 02:02 GMT5
Just a report and a thanks to Neon John for his encouragement when we were
setting this up.
Finally got around to needing the system and it worked fine. We'd had
brackets welded on to the rear bumper of the TT so as to mount a spare Blue
