Broadcasting tonight from Santa Rosa, NM.  Found 4 free wi-fis within range
of our motel room although the motel itself offers a cable connection.
Highways were good, weather was clear.  Hi temp en route was 64 near TCC NM.
Left Ajo at 0700, arrived here about 1730.  My chest cold ...

Ford did a study a while back.    They built a test trailer with 60 sq. ft.
of frontal area and measured how much horsepower it took to pull it at
various speeds.   Can't remember which publication the information was in
but I wrote it down.

I only got about 7 or 8 days at 20 to 28 degrees with the thermostat on 65.
Hot water tank off and no cooking. Two 40# jugs MT.  Is this about normal?
27' forest river with the slide out.

I just did 500 miles today from Ohio to New Jersey and saw only two RVs,
both headed west. One was a large pickup camper, the other a Lazy Daze.
Otherwise, traffic was normal.

There is nothing that makes me madder than having to listen to a whining
democrat in new rv bitching about how bush is destroying the economy.

Just an observation, this group has gone so far beyond the topic of
"RV".  Today the 1st 500+ posts dealt with politics.  I'd rather have us
talk about RV's. But that's just my 2cents.

Does anyone know if the Augustine Casino near Indio, CA allows overnighting
in their parking lot?  I'll want a place in that area on my way to Q

As many of you know, Mexico has a vehicle permit system if you go very
far beyond the border.  Once upon a time the Mexican state of Sonora had
its own vehicle permit system, if you were only traveling in Sonora.

Chronicler unknown, and I have NOT checked to be sure every "quote" is
authentic and in context.   If you're annoyed, good.  I thought these
were mostly funny.
