(also posted in other RV related NGs, and settling down at the campfire to
discuss this with you folks, if you please)
Hi folks,

Brass v. Plastic Rests?08 Feb 2006 16:17 GMT30
At home, I have brass cue rests (lady's aids - whatever).
I notice that most of the pool halls have gone to plastic versions of
the same thing. Is this because they are cheaper to buy and replace or
am I actually damaging my shafts by using the brass ones? As far as I

Can Motorhome Chassis Lead Change?08 Feb 2006 13:17 GMT3
The American automotive industry was outpaced by foreign auto makers due not
to their ability, but to the age of their physical plants and inability to
institute efficient processes.  A new automobile plant is going to work
better and more efficiently than an old plant.  Whether ...
On the way to Pluto.08 Feb 2006 04:00 GMT471
As you know we're down here in Central Florida and the park we're in is
about 80 miles from the Kennedy Space Center. One of my hopes was that we
would get to see a shuttle launch, but it's just not gonna happen. The next
launch was scheduled for March, then moved to May and now ...
Best Super Bowl Advertisement08 Feb 2006 03:27 GMT3
I think the GoDaddy.com advertisement was the best.  That old geezer
grabbing for his oxygen mask was great.
Number two was the beer ad (at least I think it was a beer ad) with
the bear in it.
Truckcamper08 Feb 2006 01:09 GMT9
Has anyone travel with a truckcamper for 3 months or more?  We are
planning a trip from Tennessee to Alaska via the national parks and plan
to spend 3 to 4 month doing it. We are looking to get a 12' camper with
side slide out type, and plan to tow a enclosed trailer ( motorcycle )
Dump Stations08 Feb 2006 00:16 GMT6
I've noticed in my travels that some rest stops have RV water and dump
stations. Does anyone know where one might find a list of rest stops
with this service?
Thanks
A lot to be said for quiet old Australia where we look after you07 Feb 2006 17:08 GMT11
Start living, visit Australia.
It's the only place left where you might find a lost tribe or the fountain
of youth? Alien villages?
And they wont be from California.
When Lon is Wrong He Slithers away like a snake07 Feb 2006 16:37 GMT39
When Lon is wrong he slithers away like a snake. He just
pulls his upper lip over his eyes so no one will see him.

A scary twist to begging, just outside the RV park07 Feb 2006 04:26 GMT298
I had a scary experience last night in Grants Pass. In our travels we
have been approached by homeless begging for money in the typical
way-they give you a sad story and want money. Last night I was
approached with a disturbing technique I have not seen before.
Pulling a small travel trailer07 Feb 2006 01:39 GMT11
I'm seeking someone with knowledge of pulling a small travel trailer
with a ~ '93 Pk Ave. Buick, 3800 engine.  I was hoping this vehicle
could handle a 13 foot Fun Finder, Casita or a Scamp.  Thanks.  Scamper
Top Reasons to live in Canada <g>06 Feb 2006 22:56 GMT77
TOP REASONS TO LIVE IN BRITISH COLUMBIA
1. Vancouver: 1.5 million people and two bridges.
2. Your $400,000 Vancouver home is just 5 hours from downtown.
3. You can throw a rock and hit three Starbucks locations.
FMC Magazines06 Feb 2006 20:49 GMT6
I was at a tag sale today and noticed there were offered many, many  back
issues of "FMC Magazine" (Maybe 15 years).  There didn't seem to be much
interest in them.  Are these old magazines coveted as much perhaps as "Fine
Woodworking" is to the woodworker?
Considering selling your RV on consignment, read this horror story . .06 Feb 2006 20:48 GMT2
I left a 2003 5th-wheel trailer on consignment with Innovative RV in
Baton Rouge, LA when I bought a new Arctic Fox from them.  They did not
sell it in 9 months, and when I finally returned to pick it up, I found
it in horrible condition - someone had obviously been living in it on
