Neon John Slays Ghost in the Heater Fan16 Mar 2006 16:35 GMT2
Awhile ago I was curious about my Duotherm furnace fan coming on when
the thermostat was off.
We went over several possibilities, but in the end Neon John says "I'm
still betting it's the thermostat".
Fluorescent lamps16 Mar 2006 08:22 GMT5
I have several fluorescent lights in my rig.  I just needed to replace
a couple of lamps and that got me to wondering...even tho the fixture
is 12VDC input what is the output of the ballast?  Is it the same as a
normal household fluorescent fixture.  Lets make this really easy.

Thrift Shopping For Your Motorhoming Supplies16 Mar 2006 02:24 GMT2
I travel throughout the United States with my wife and two cats. We've
a real nice class "A" that we bought gently used. We're on a budget
and have found thrift shops to be a godsend when it comes to our
motorhoming supplies. We find tupperware and any cookware we might
GPO with custom ADM and CHECKBOX feature16 Mar 2006 01:14 GMT10
First, I apologize for my ignorance with custom ADM's.  Creating a
custom ADM is new to me and I have a feeling my question is going to be
because of my newbie-ness. :o)
I've created a simple GPO (which works perfectly) that changes a

Inside the Duotherm self-lighting furnace thermostat there is a tiny
watch-like hand labeled "longer cycles" (can't quite readit) with
numbers from .2 to .25, and one little unlabeled notch with a contact
behind it that the hand could slip into. Can someone tell me what this

I Wouldn't Take My Camper There15 Mar 2006 19:14 GMT4
My son just returned to Oakland from an 18,000 mile, one way,
motorcycle trip to Tierra del Fuego. His trip report is well written
and his photos are awesome. It is worth reading if you have ever
wondered what that trip would be like.

It finally rained in Ajo....15 Mar 2006 16:56 GMT4
After 5 months of not seeing a drop of rain, we had a real gully-washer on
Saturday.  I don't have measurements but I would guess at least 1.5 inches
fell here.  Even had some thunder.
Went for a long drive in the desert yesterday, to enjoy the sparkling

DC Wattmeter14 Mar 2006 23:33 GMT5

wattmeter, the DC equivalent of the Kill-A-Watt.  The "Watts Up". This
meter does the same thing for DC circuits as the Kill-A-Watt does for
AC.  Here's one of the better prices I found and where I just ordered
