Awhile ago I was curious about my Duotherm furnace fan coming on when the thermostat was off. We went over several possibilities, but in the end Neon John says "I'm still betting it's the thermostat".

I have several fluorescent lights in my rig. I just needed to replace a couple of lamps and that got me to wondering...even tho the fixture is 12VDC input what is the output of the ballast? Is it the same as a normal household fluorescent fixture. Lets make this really easy.
