| US Gear Unified Tow Brake Install | 30 Apr 2006 13:06 GMT | 37 |
So I started the install of the US Gear tow brake tonight on the Vitara. Got most of the work done on the car part and just need to run the wire and attach the controller in the MH. It actually went pretty well. The instructions are very clear. The only issues I've run into so ...

Well, friends, today was the day. Fuel prices were down a few cents to $2.79 and the heavy Chevy, a/k/a National Interstate, needed to have its tank topped off. Barry pulled in the slides, hiked up the jacks (which he fixed with the new part, a lot of muscle and a little more ...

I bought a used slide in pop up truck camper. I have no experience with truck campers. To lift the camper on and off the truck there are three hand crank jacks, two on one side and one on the other. When the camper is raised high enough

| Peak Oil | 29 Apr 2006 23:37 GMT | 112 |
Worrying about if we'll have enough money to fill up our RVs, SUVs, etc is inconsequential compared to the hell that will be when we reach Peak Oil. Read this but be prepared to get little sleep tonight. http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/

| Price of Gasoline - Americans have not changed yet | 29 Apr 2006 13:05 GMT | 36 |
The price of gasoline has not had any effect on American consumption. Americans love to cry gas prices - but Hummers - SUVs - big motor homes - gas guzzlers - are selling like crazy. I believe that gasoline will have to go up to $8.00 a gallon before

| Gas fumes and Poly fiber | 29 Apr 2006 05:45 GMT | 11 |
I plan to store cans of gas in a cargo box attached to a flatbed trailer. Sharing the box are tie down straps. Does anyone KNOW if the gas fumes could weaken the straps? These are the same sort of straps that truckers use to hold down their loads that I bough at Sam's Club.
