RV sales tax in SD08 Apr 2006 03:09 GMT80
Because of no income tax and low insurance rates, I'm probably going to
select SD as my residence when I start full timing in 2 months.  From what I
can tell the state requires that if you haven't paid a sales tax in another
state, you have to pay a 3% tax to SD.  My rig will be ...

Cody, WY08 Apr 2006 00:21 GMT84
Looks like we are going to end up in Cody, WY in July for a few days, maybe
a week.  The last time we went through was about 17 years ago (maybe 16, but
I think it was closer to 17 - a year after the big Yellowstone fire).
Something tells me things may have changed.  I was a ...
Dometic Fridge freezing in Refrigerator section07 Apr 2006 18:35 GMT18
All of a sudden, my fridge (7 yrs old full time) is freezing stuff (21
degrees in fridge) I tested the freezer section and it's temp is -4
which is normal. I've checked the fridge powered either with propane or
electric and the result is the same.
RV water regulators07 Apr 2006 17:14 GMT32
My experience with RV regulators is that even brand new ones, do not have a
positive shut off  -- they leak and very soon the static water pressure in
your RV is the same as the input water pressure.  If you have a 100 psig
inlet pressure and a regulator that is set at 50 psig, ...

No Goodwill at Dometic07 Apr 2006 14:18 GMT8
This morning a n=man identifying himself as "John" from Dometic called
in response to my letter about seeking their participation in the
replacement of an AC fan motor on an AC unit for a 2004 motorhome that
has 10,000 miles on it.
? about vinyl stripes or paint07 Apr 2006 13:16 GMT1
Hi everybody, I have a 1996 Coachman Catalina that the stripes are
looking pretty cruddy on. I was thinking about taking a heat gun to them
and taking them off, but I need to put something back on there. I was
thinking about painting some back on there, or tracking down some vinyl
Keep From Getting Points on Your Drivers License article07 Apr 2006 09:16 GMT7
Every once in a while, somebody comes up with a great idea for beating
the system.
This morning there is an article on http://liveto100.blogspot.com on
how to keep from getting points on your driver's license when you get a
My brake lights and flashers are acting weird!07 Apr 2006 05:44 GMT21
Started by being intermittent the day we pulled in here.
Checked the wiring and ground.  Can't find a problem.  Checked the
appropriate fuses, all good.  Checked ALL the fuses, all good.
The brake light in the center of the motorhome works consistently, the
Pick-up truck caps - better MPG or not?07 Apr 2006 05:09 GMT2
Hello fellow campers;
Now that camping season is back for us in the NE USA anwyay! I am once
again considering a cap for the bed of my '04 Dodge Dakota. This is in
hope of better drivability and of course increased MPG while towing. I
Good Sam Question07 Apr 2006 05:04 GMT64
I cut the following discussion from an RV'ing group on Yahoo.  I would
like to know if anyone knows if it is true that Good Sam is working
behind the scenes to have legislation/laws enacted that prohibit/limit
overnighting at Wal-Mart or any other place.
Using Home Sewer Waste Cleanout for RV07 Apr 2006 02:14 GMT66
I'm going to leave my trailer at a friends home this summer.
From what I remember the waste clean out is accessible and only several feet
from where the trailer will be parked.
What do I need beside a long enough sewer hose to hook up to this home waste
more to the story: motorhome trapped in snow for 17 days...07 Apr 2006 01:26 GMT2
Remember the story of the RV family trapped by snow for 17 days in
Oregon?  Well it seems that there is a lot more to the story:
---
The Higginbothams were in the same motor home where they spent 17
