Will somebody start a bus conversion project?03 Apr 2006 05:35 GMT19
Today's news says the New Orleans schools are auctioning a once
submerged schoolbus on ebay.  And if this one sells, there are quite a
few more.....
It strikes me that some folks with skill and drive (but maybe modest
Chinese generator yahoo group?03 Apr 2006 01:46 GMT3
Someone posted a link to a (possibile) Yahoo group dealing with the
low cost Chinese Portable generators sometime last year.  These are
the types sold at Auto Zone, Advance Auto, etc, and were knockoffs or
generic Honda EI super quiet series.  I can't find the group anywhere.
Tranny goes into TowHaul when in cruise03 Apr 2006 01:20 GMT1
I recently purchased a 06' Fleetwood Flair 34F used. I have driven it
several times in cruise and never did it fault into "towhaul". The
first time I towed the dinghy the tranny went into towhaul and would
not go back unless I took it out of cruise. This is the new
RV-Moblile home park so. texas02 Apr 2006 15:47 GMT10
Hi group,
I'm new here. We are planning on retiring in a few years. We would
like to see what it is like in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. We were
hoping we could find a couple of mobile-home RV parks that rented

How many people here have applied " the brakes several times very hard"
enough times to notice a pattern ?

Some real interesting information here, I stole one subject
but there are many more.

RV 360 Vents, they work --- do they last?02 Apr 2006 02:12 GMT3
I usually park my trailer with the "solar" side facing south and when the
wind blows hard from the south I could always smell "sewer" someone told me
to install a 360 vent on the black tank roof vent, it worked.  I wonder how
long I can expect it to last?
RV'ing in Colorado.02 Apr 2006 01:14 GMT18
We're heading out from CA again this summer in a 24' class C, likely
for four weeks.  We already have a week in the Yellowstone area
planned, and a week side trip to Omaha (family).
Was thinking of spending a week or so in Colorado on the way back.
Call for nominations01 Apr 2006 23:17 GMT4
Thinking of upgrading to a larger 5th wheel (currently have a mid-profile
28'-er with one slide).  I tow with a 2003 Chev 2500HD DuraMax/Allison.
What are your nominations for the best 5th wheel for less than $35,000 and
under 10,000 empty weight.
RV'ing In Canada01 Apr 2006 17:17 GMT8
I am heading into Canada for a couple of weeks and have never visited there
before. I would welcome some suggestions concerning travel there. I would
think things would be fairly similar to the Northwest.
What are the issues in getting back into the US? Are there problems finding
Air Conditioner: A Tale of Woe <g>01 Apr 2006 04:16 GMT20
We took the monster Chevy into the repair place today. The fan motor was
shot on the front AC unit. The MH has about 10,000 miles on it and is
less than 3 years old (2004) but Dometic won't carry the warranty past
the first owner. It seems to me that the motor had to have been
The Good, The Bad, and The Bondo01 Apr 2006 03:10 GMT6
There was a thread a short time ago about repairing RV holding tanks.
In my case,  they are 25 years old and made of polyethylene, which is
said to be the most difficult to patch because nothing sticks to it
well.
XM Sat radio01 Apr 2006 03:06 GMT17
Roady XT. I've got it installed and running, but I've got a piece
left over. It's a tiny black rubber thing about 3/8" on a side. Top
slopes/curves down to a sharp edge, and bottom has a slot in it. What
the hell is it, and where does it go?
RV Stuff, for a change.01 Apr 2006 02:41 GMT85
We are starting to get the monster-Chevy ready for traveling this
summer. Had an open recall on something called a "cluster" done the
other day. They took out the old cluster and put in a new one.
The front air conditioner isn't working, though it did when we ran the
