rottweiler and gas28 Apr 2006 23:32 GMT22
Well one good thing that might come out of the high gas prices with
less people traveling may be the campgrounds that band us because we
travel with our old fat non threating rottweiller.  Instead of telling
us no - they may be darn glad to start taking our money!  I know that
re OT minor annoyance28 Apr 2006 23:14 GMT45
I got my primary laptop back from CompUSA, running fine, so the
back-up Presario is once again my wife's domain, where she busily
practices her slot machine techniques.
Tried all your suggestions (for which I am deeply appreciative) to

2  1/2 years ago I bought a replacement tire for $225. They now are

using the NG w/o provider27 Apr 2006 05:24 GMT15
When I start full timing next month I'll unplug from an ISP and will depend
on WiFi along the way.  Is there any way to stay plugged into newsgroups
this way?  Some of you hate my musings and politics, so you'd no doubt
prefer that I just go away.  For any who like or at least ...
Extended Warranties?27 Apr 2006 03:28 GMT22
We're negotiating a good deal on a new RV. The dealer was asking about
whether we wanted the extended warranty. It sounded good, about a
thousand bucks for 5 years/60k miles of complete protection on a 29'
class C motorhome. I asked how that measured up to extended warranties

Newly retired and new to camping27 Apr 2006 00:06 GMT8
We've been looking at new rv's that would be capable of taking my wife and I
to the National Parks in the west. We've got modest needs; a small
toilet/shower and a place to cook and eat and look out the window.
Refrigerator would be nice too.
pulling toad behind 5-er?26 Apr 2006 17:12 GMT48
Just how practical is it to pull a toad behind a 5th wheel trailer?
A motorhome is not in my budget but I have a Chevy 2500HD Duramax/Alison and
currently pull a 23' trailer.    I would like to occasionally bring my Jeep
along when we go camping and am thinking that maybe getting ...

re OT Disaster time.26 Apr 2006 04:58 GMT6
Many, many thanks to all who replied to my wail for help.
Took the laptop to CompUSA this AM, they whacked it with a hammer or
something similar, and all is well once again. Turns out the Memory
module slightly mis-aligned the receiving slots when I installed it,
