To summarize: We had a great time! Now for the rest of the story. We took our 25 foot Prowler travel trailer from San Francisco to Pismo Beach, then to San Diego and returned from San Diego to San Francisco.

The BC Ferry "Queen of Prince Rupert" has returned to seasonal service on the British Columbia coast one month earlier than normal. Her winter refit was accelerated in order to reduce the impact of the sinking of the vessel "Queen of the North" four weeks ago.

Departed Valley of Fires at 0730. Perfect day, clear skies, no wind. Lots of destruction on U.S. 54 between Duran and Vaughn then some between Vaughn and Santa Rosa. I-40 also being rebuilt from the bottom up between Santa Rosa and Tucumcari. Looooonnnnnggggg overdue.
