Inverter Advice15 May 2006 02:37 GMT241
Since our motorhome did not come with an inverter charger, I am going to
have to  buy a small one for the computer and camera battery recharger.
(We don't use the rig enough to warrant $3,000 to install more batteries
and an inverter.)  I had one that I bought in 1995 but it died ...
That Carl is a sweet tongue Devil14 May 2006 22:24 GMT1
Yep after reading how he called Lon's wife a beautiful and charming
woman which she is,  I think he deserves the title but I sure hope he
remembers to say the same to Antje!  If he doesn't he will really get
into trouble as she also is a beautiful and charming woman and she has a ...
Mixing 12v and 6v Batteries?14 May 2006 21:47 GMT5
I have a brand new RV (and 12v deep cycle house battery). There is room for
2 more batteries on the battery tray (plenty of room for 6v batteries).
I want to buy 2 new 6v golf batteries .... the question is ... do i toss the
existing 12v (new) battery, or use all three (12v in ...

Abes of Maine14 May 2006 05:23 GMT57
Interesting policy they have. I use MS Streets and Trips as my mapping and
GPS program in the MH, but have nothing for the Honda. We're really tired of
being in strange towns, out sight seeing, and getting turned around, so we
decided to buy a GPS unit for the car.
I29 N &  headwinds14 May 2006 02:54 GMT8
While traveling W toward KC, we averaged 7.6 mpg @ 60 mph.  Then when we
turned N on I29 I knew it was going to be a long drive to US2 in ND when the
MH downshifted on level ground.  For 3 days our mpg was down to ~5.25, and
my shoulder felt like I had been wrestling a 18lb ...
Gassing Up & Pump Limits13 May 2006 15:50 GMT136
Well we jumped in the pool and bought our first RV. I got the deal of
the century in Atlanta and drove it back. I stopped at a few fairly
large gas stations but each time the pump stopped at $75 or something
and said 'limit reached'. So how the heck do you gas up one of these 55

What would you consider as a MUST have in an RV essentials kit.  Let me
start this by listing what I have seen by watching this group.
The kit must contain:

Shoreline to Home?12 May 2006 14:27 GMT81
My new class C has a 3 prong grounding plug with a circular pattern. I'd
like to plug the RV in for shoreline power from my driveway to charge
things up before a trip, but I don't see anything like that to plug it
into, just the standard receptacles. So what, hire an electrician ...
Fuel Saving Device12 May 2006 01:17 GMT14
It's called TLF, and it works!
I started my trip on Thursday last week, heading from Reno, NV to Taylor
Canyon, NV...approximately 400 miles.  First tank of fuel...75 MPH with
little to no head wind, tail wind or side wind.  Interstate with rolling
Oil in the propane?12 May 2006 00:36 GMT16
I have one of those 20# propane tanks for the grill that is from those
expchange places where you trade the tank. The regulator on the grill hums
sometimes so I checked it out. What I discovered at the screw in connection
was an oily film that I'm sure isn't from the meat on the ...
