Fuel Costs18 Jul 2006 06:26 GMT401
We spent 97.00 for fuel the last 3 days.
We are kind of rural so anywhere we go is getting expensive.
Some of the stuff on the net suggest fuel may be closer to 4.00 gal than
3.00 gal by summer.
Alternator battery charging18 Jul 2006 06:21 GMT11
Last week I bought a trolling motor for the canoe we generally take
along on top of our class C MH. Used it for a couple of hours on the
deep-cycle battery from the MH, and after 2 hours of constant use the
battery still showed as "full" on my little Minn Kota tester. But
Motorhomes and extreme heat18 Jul 2006 05:01 GMT12
I'm a bit concerned...
We're staying up in Payson, AZ right now in our 20005 Winnebago Voyage.
It's pretty nice up here - does warm up to the mid-90s during the day but
cools down nicely at night.

Solar Panels - connecting one array to tweo isolated battery banks17 Jul 2006 22:30 GMT1
It stands to reason that I can't connect the solar panel charge reulator to
the input of my battery isolator.  The regulator would not be able to read
the condition of the battery and would render the regulator useless.  I can
hook the regulator to the one of the output posts and ...

toyota tercell or similar pull tent camper ?17 Jul 2006 21:35 GMT23
Can a small car like a tercell pull a tent camper ? If not what is the
smallest that could pull a tent camper. I'm thinking of this due to the
gas prices
The smallest tent camper I've seen is maybe 1200 pounds with gear.
Is the Flounder bound to flounder?17 Jul 2006 19:03 GMT16
Hey everyone,  I saw a Flounder 40' motor home at a dealer and i wonder
if anyone has seen it around before,  it looks pretty nice and the
price is right.  I found their website, http://FlounderMotorHomes.com
Some of the online chatter says it's a Fleetwood or an Alfa but I
OBD ABS Reader for Chevy's Propietary ABS Protocol???17 Jul 2006 15:59 GMT8
OBD (on board diagnostics) devices have been discussed here often.  By means
of a connector under your dash, your vehicle can report a large number of
sensor values that can help you understand how your vehicle is operating.  I
can quickly tell, while driving down the road, just ...
Battery isolator gone bad?17 Jul 2006 06:55 GMT14
I have a 1 year old battery isolator installed by our RV dealers shop,
which looks a lot like the old solenoids and such from old cars and
small engine start systems, round body, 2 bolt attachments, with a
ground on it, that supposedly keeps the 2 battery systems isolated.
12 volt electric problem17 Jul 2006 04:16 GMT69
Our 12 volt power keeps going out when we've used the batteries quite a
bit, and then plug into electricity. There is a small tin circuit
breaker on a panel with all of the 12 volt connections. It has 2 posts.
The left side is the hot wire from the battery. The other side ...
Timekeeping and relativity17 Jul 2006 01:10 GMT12
In light of the recent, er, discussion about whether Einstein had a
clue, I thought that this article might interest some.

Visiting Yellowstone?----advice16 Jul 2006 22:17 GMT3
We have been in Casper, Wyoming for the past week.  Casper is a
"gateway" city to Yellowstone for people coming and going to
Yellowstone.  I call it a gateway since it is a days drive to or from
Yellowstone.
Bob Thomas16 Jul 2006 18:29 GMT4
We took a drive up to Crested Butte today, and stopped by the Tall Texan CG,
to say high to Bob. Stopped in at the office, and asked about him, and were
told Bob died in late August of 2005 of an apparent heart attack.
When Bob did not check out of the TT, as scheduled on Sept ...
A change in plans16 Jul 2006 14:15 GMT15
Well, here we are in the Gunnison, CO area, but not at Blue Mesa as planned.
The best laid plans and all that.
We got out of Canon City late, because of a screw up in the shipment of the
DVR. Somehow FedEx got a message to keep the package at the Pueblo terminal,
