Internet by Cellphone Sprint/Samsung15 Jul 2006 22:50 GMT2
After a solid week of pulling my hair out, chomping Valliums like
candy and yelling at the world, I'm finally on the net via cellphone
on the Sprint network.  I'm not supposed to be in an EVDO area but I'm
getting a solid 400k bits per second.
It's My First Day15 Jul 2006 03:58 GMT37
Of working from home.  I asked my boss about 2 years ago if I could and he
said no, "I like to see your smiling face and shitty attitude around here to
liven things up." Well, he had some surgery 3 weeks ago and has been working
from home, where we had set him up with a new ...
50 foot utilities14 Jul 2006 23:39 GMT4
We've been full timing for almost 18 months now, mostly in the West and
the South.  We're now in Michigan.  Been here for close to 4 weeks.  Every
RV park we've stayed at has had numerous sites that would require either
an extra long water hose or an extra long electrical cable.  ...

I would sure appreciate any advice from all of your combined
experience. We have just put down money on a wonderful 40' travel
trailer. We are in the midst of buying a larger truck for my husband
as well, the Dodge 3500 hemi. We are now hearing mixed reports of

Moving West14 Jul 2006 18:09 GMT4
We've been here in Canon City for a week, and enjoyed every minute, but
we're leaving here sometime today, heading to Gunnison.
Why sometime today? I'm waiting for the delivery of my 3rd DTV DVR-15. The
first one had a faulty fan, kept overheating, so they shipped me a second
The Voodoo Dog - Love Sponge is gone14 Jul 2006 13:30 GMT27
Our little Poodle, Kellie, went to heaven early this morning. She was so
happy being in the motorhome. She loved taking walks every night and
greeting the people she'd meet in the park.
My last appointment for this week is Friday morning. We are leaving the
Hot weather in MN.....14 Jul 2006 06:36 GMT5
We're glad to be at the lake.  It hit 89 yesterday and is supposed to be
warmer today.  A good breeze and lots of shade helps and we turn on the AC
as a last resort.
Got up at 0500 the past two mornings so I can watch the sunrise and nail
Intervec Falcon house batteries?13 Jul 2006 22:43 GMT19
Just bought a 1986 Facon. Does this RV have just one battery, shared by
the engine and the house?
Off topic SORT OF. Your opinions please13 Jul 2006 18:38 GMT53
I am going on an RV trip for 24 days. Last year I went for 24 days and just
turned off all my appliances etc and left. Came back and everything was ok.
Was that the right thing to do? Should I have shut off the water in the
basement main valve? Would that have caused a problem ...
At the lake!13 Jul 2006 18:05 GMT25
Had a nice drive up, about half on the freeway to take full advantage of
a following wind.
Perfect day, mid 70s at mid afternoon, a few clouds in the area and a
southeast breeze.
Anybody tried these?13 Jul 2006 16:01 GMT49

DuoTherm furnace won't stay lit13 Jul 2006 15:01 GMT13
Hi.  I have a DuoTherm Model: 65930-064.  I have torn it apart and
found that it would stay lit.  It seems almost as if the gas shuts off,
but the ignitor keeps trying to light for a period of time, almost like
it doesn't sense the flame start up.  I don't know of any sensor on

If you were taking a truck and trailer and 18 foot ski boat to Lake Oroville
in the summer, which campground would you prefer and why?
