Thanks for the verizon wireless info..12 Aug 2006 00:17 GMT4
Well, after much debate I went ahead and got a Verizon wireless phone
with America's Choice 450 plan. I've always thought highly of Verizon's
service and there isn't any exception to that now. I chose the LG VX8300
phone mainly due to it's ratings. it didn't have Amps service and ...
Laptop Help Please11 Aug 2006 23:05 GMT45
OK, I am ready to buy a laptop in a couple of months. I am going to
have my regular desktop in the fiver and just want a laptop to be
portable so I can access internet, hopefully anyway, with WiFi. I want
a fairly basic one and don't really need all of the bells and
No 12V Power in Rockwood Pop-up11 Aug 2006 22:03 GMT5
Bought a new "used" Rockwood 2516.  Literally only used one time by the
prior owner, but sat for 2 years.
My issue:
With shore line hooked up, the 110AC works - the air conditioner powers
HDTV mounting11 Aug 2006 17:26 GMT5
My coach is an '86 and has the 13 inch regular TV's that are on their
last legs.  My eyes are not what they used to be, of course, so when we
replace them (like right now) we want to install as large a screen that
is HDTV capable as we can fit.  That still isn't very large :)
several issues11 Aug 2006 16:10 GMT3
Front air conditioner on my 96 winnebago adventurer seems the
compressor runs with the switch turned off.  If I turn the switch above
the stove from front to rear it will go off.  Is there a relay stuck
somewhere?
Dometic problem11 Aug 2006 12:35 GMT5
My fridge quit working last January.
The green light was on but it didn't get cold.
Because it is 20 years old, I assumed it just died.
Then I read here about having the fridge freeze up because it was not level.
Speakers for towed?11 Aug 2006 12:08 GMT3
We picked up a '94 Geo Metro for a toad - has everything, including the
engine, replaced - that is, all but the radio/cd speakers.
.........well and one dented fender is the next project...
If anyone has an idea what type of good quality speakers I can put in
30 amp plug - how to wire11 Aug 2006 02:11 GMT65
My wonderful grandchildren tripped over my power supply cord. It
already had a replacement end on it, and not done very well, I might
add. The resulting small shower of sparks told me what I needed to
know. So... tomorrow I go buy a new one.

A little while ago you posted about the AC leaking into the Airstream.
There is a nice couple here at Camp Cancer who are having the same
problem in their Excella. What was the fix?
TIA
Yet another laptop question10 Aug 2006 22:45 GMT34
I have a pretty new Toshiba laptop.  When I try to burn a CD, it won't let
me, saying "Drive not available."  I am using CD-R disks as recommended.
Any ideas?

Half of the North Slope oil production in Alaska is shutting down
today. That is about 8% of the US production.

Some new full-timing Q's10 Aug 2006 16:44 GMT5
warning: controversial opinions ahead.
We will soon be doing the full-timing thing but with a twist.  My wife
will be a contract nurse, which means maybe 13 weeks at each location.
So my questions, in no particular order are:
C. Connie Bounce10 Aug 2006 16:25 GMT141
I took her to the nearest Vet, and he proclaimed her about 5
weeks old, just weaned, and in pretty good shape.  I'm to take
her back in a couple of weeks for shots.  No charge today.
No broken teeth or bones.  Funny thing, she was just fine in the
