Diesel prices traveling from Tetons to Texas Hill Country24 Aug 2006 02:55 GMT29
We left the Tetons and Jackson Hole last Sunday.  Diesel was selling
for a high of $3.69 in the big station north of Jackson (1/2 mile
north of the tourist information center).  The cheapest we found
diesel while we were in Jackson/Tetons was $3.05.  For the two weeks

I will be doing some extensive dry camping in the future and

I measured the output of the vehicle alternator and at idle it
S&T, or tomtom GPS23 Aug 2006 23:29 GMT21
I've been using S&T 2006, with a good receiver and a laptop. The BW
does the navigating. On my last outing we were joined by friends
pulling a fiver using a TomTom 300 GPS. While out and about, I had
some time to play with the TomTom, and was duly impressed. Although
Camping in non-highroof van?23 Aug 2006 23:19 GMT23
Considering a local Dodge camper for sale, that doesn't have a high
roof installed.  Looks like a typical Tradesman van, but is fitted
inside with camping gear (fridge, stove, sink, etc.).  Obviously, would

Another question for you 'gurus'. <g>

MoParMan Rocks!23 Aug 2006 09:19 GMT12
I just started a thread on computer backups because I was having
trouble with my DVD player and was afraid to send it off for
repair without backing up.  All that stuff about backup is
useful, but MoParMan found the fix to my problem so I don't have
Old Farts23 Aug 2006 09:17 GMT54

Airport screenings and terror plots23 Aug 2006 03:35 GMT114
Last week there was a discussion of the terror plot which was broken up by
the Brits.  I ignored most of the thread because my brother works as a TSA
screener and I was having the same arguments with him.  I believe that most
of the screening is worthless and just done for show.  ...
W Virginia Routing question23 Aug 2006 00:17 GMT9
Heading toward VA thinking about going across part of WV, but have heard
they may not like the 102" wide bodies off the Interstate.  Avoiding toll
roads I was thinking aobut US 60 from S. of Charleston over to I-64.  Is the
road decent, and do they restrict wide bodies?
