I had planned to take I-90 the whole way, but our schedule loosened. Anybody want to suggest any preferred roads between northwestern RI and Niagara Falls?

| Quality of "Park Models" | 20 Aug 2006 15:36 GMT | 17 |
Lads & Lasses, We are very far along on downsizing and at this point have decided to buy a park model but not a lot. We have in mind a small canpground to rent/lease a site. This will give us a choice in the future if... . The attraction is to

| Dealer's price for a new 2005 travel? | 20 Aug 2006 14:19 GMT | 6 |
A nearby RV dealer has a 26' Holiday Rambler TT on their lot and claims it is a "new" 2005 (having arrived last summer). The MSRP (they say) is $24,433 but they will let it go for $22,143. Meanwhile, the NADA internet Ave. Retail for this same 2005 trailer is $15,940. (Low

| Lowrance GPS | 20 Aug 2006 10:35 GMT | 4 |
I did a bit of research for a friend earlier today regarding the Lowrance iWAY 350c GPS. Found it on sale at buydig for $373.00. I'm not sure what the MSRP is, but this isn't a bad deal.

| battery smart charger | 20 Aug 2006 10:32 GMT | 3 |
Does anyone make a good smartcharger that will work for RV's? My coach has the 4 coach batteries and 1 8D engine battery. Curiously, the engine battery is not on the existing charger. I think the current (pun intended) charger is frying my coach batteries

| Surge protectors for RVs.... needed or not? | 20 Aug 2006 02:23 GMT | 12 |
With 5 years of RVing under my belt, I've stayed at many older RV parks with ancient electrical systems. Lights have dimmed on many occasions, but I've never experienced any problems on my rig as a result of brown electricity. There are surge protectors out there costing several

| Battery Maintenence Question | 19 Aug 2006 23:26 GMT | 91 |
Yet another dumb newbie question... I've been wondering what to with the battery when I'm storing the trailer during the winter? It does get charged up when we're travelling but there is no electrical hook-up in the storage lot. All the dealer

| Ping Hunter | 19 Aug 2006 19:51 GMT | 13 |
You missed the adoption ceremony yesterday. Cliff & Marie became our parents, which makes Lon & Carolyn our grandparents! For you non Escapees, a tradition at local chapter rallys is that 1st time attenders are 'adopted' by chapter members. The main purpose is so that you

| How to not have fun in Coburg | 19 Aug 2006 17:05 GMT | 18 |
We stopped in Coburg midday yesterday, with an appointment for annual service on our engine, and generator, and biannual transmission service at Cummins NW. Planned to spend the time geocaching with friends while we were here, then head up to Cecil and Linda's for a

| Bipedal 50 amp -> 30 & 15 amp adapter? | 19 Aug 2006 16:29 GMT | 9 |
It is my understanding that the common dogbone adapter to plug a 30 amp RV into a 50 amp service (if we'll ignore the recent "selfish site choice" thread for a moment) uses one hot leg from the 50 amp service, leaving the other unused.

| A hard days drive | 19 Aug 2006 16:00 GMT | 15 |
Well, we're out of the Gunnison area. We've been over there for 18 days, and left Lake Fork RV Park this AM at about 11:00. We made the drive from Lake Fork to Montrose, a distance of 49.8 miles, in one shot, so we're a bit tired from that ordeal.
