RV Campgrounds in Michigan31 Dec 2006 20:49 GMT6
Anyone know if there is a campground open this late in the year in
Southern Michigan hopefully not to far from I69?
I've looked in Woodalls and found one in Jackson which is a bit farther
than we want.
Generator experiments31 Dec 2006 11:56 GMT2
I had some time to kill here at the cabin so I decided to do some
experimenting.  I'm looking for a cheap and easy way to air condition
my truck come summer without having to idle.
In my straight truck that I own, on long trips I've carried my
Here's another Adios - to film cameras31 Dec 2006 05:35 GMT46
As an aside to the Winchester saga:
Recent stories in several papers state that both Nikon and
Konica/Minolta are going to quit making film cameras and their
associated lenses.
Forest River Cedar Creek Silver Back fifth wheel31 Dec 2006 05:16 GMT2
My brother's wife has fallen in love again.
I'm supposed to recommend that he buy her the trailer. <g>
Since they plan to use it for a couple months per year, and a scattered
weekend here and there, the quality seems good enough.
Road Map Software that "knows" elevations31 Dec 2006 04:26 GMT5
It's been a few years since I bought a street atlas software and I'm
wanting to upgrade.  It seems to me that a very useful feature would be
the ability to generate an elevation profile of a route, so help
predict snow and ice in winter travel.  So far, neither MS Streets nor
RV Registration31 Dec 2006 04:13 GMT18
We are living in PA and will be buying a Class A RV this spring. Is
there a way we can register this in another stste and avoid sales tax?
Do we first need an address in that state? Thanks in advance for any
advice
OT, somewhat short trip31 Dec 2006 02:02 GMT16
We left here the 18th headed for the LRGV  but while we were in Corpus
Christi the dog got sick.  Vet said she must have eaten something she
shouldn't have (couldn't find anything else wrong)
She was lethargic, threw up several times, had the runs,
Electric Blankets and Inverters30 Dec 2006 23:31 GMT15
My inquiry to Sunbeam and their answer.
>I have the above electric blanket (L78-DD2D) but I'm going to

Why I seldom post30 Dec 2006 21:32 GMT25
Since the recent James Kim tragedy, I've received numerous e-mails
from newsgroup posters,
asking for advice about cold weather survival, one of my specialties.
I've replied to all of these
All American Direct lately?30 Dec 2006 14:11 GMT7
I'm living with Harlingen, TX locals and miss my West Coast networks with Dish
Network.
Anyone have very recent experience with All American Direct for delivering DNS?
Sign up process? Reception?
197? Glendette Xmas Present30 Dec 2006 07:50 GMT6
If you like to read about projects that seem insurmountable, you'll
love this post. A partial description of the steps I have to take in
completing this project is below
I've recently taken on a winter project involving an old Glendette

Current good deals29 Dec 2006 20:54 GMT9
Thought I'd mention a couple of good deals that I've come across.
One is at Progressive Dynamics, one of best converter/charger makers,
IMHO.  They have plenty of factory refurbs at great prices:

73k posts on my news server29 Dec 2006 18:27 GMT19
So my server (houston road runner) bellied up for a couple of days, and now
that it is back it has 72940 unread messages.  Can that be possible.
Anyway, guess I will just 'catch up'.
If I failed to respond to any of your gratuitous insults, you should repost
Quartzite?29 Dec 2006 18:16 GMT15
A while back, there was some discussion about some of the RORT folks
gathering at/near Quartzite.  Anybody still up for that?
Mostly I wuz wonderin' where folks are planning to stay in that area.  While
I've been through 'Q' a few times, I've never stopped.  Any suggestions?
