I have a lot of automotive type batteries around my place.  Cars,

volt for electric fence charger.  What would be a good all purpose
charger for these apps?  Should I just buy whatever is on sale in

Do any of you airstream owners spend time in low temperatures?  I'm

Camper Corral too expensive?30 Jan 2007 21:53 GMT19
I am pretty new at this fulltime living in Montana fithwheel , as I
stated elsewhere.    Also I posted that we are quite happy with our
rig.  The recent events somewhat  challenged  this opinion of  mine.
We developed leaks in our drain pipes.  The shower drain, the kitchen
Portable Poorman's RV Power Box30 Jan 2007 21:20 GMT13
I seek plans or a builder to make a poorman's RV power system.
I envision a portable, fireproof box to turn any car into a poorman's
RV. The box would contain RV batteries in order to power the kinds of
appliances normally used in RVs without risking running down a car's
electrical question...30 Jan 2007 19:21 GMT24
Suppose you have an electrical power source that is 12vdc.
Suppose that you have a supply of 1.5v light bulbs.
To hook a single 1.5v light bulb to a 12vdc source, you would need a
dropping resistor, right?  Something to cause a 10.5v drop?  Assuming

Cell phone cry babies are at it again.30 Jan 2007 00:28 GMT110
Once again, we have the usual crowd whining and crying about cell phone use and
it's dangers, as they bray for new laws.
Why can't any of them point out what has happened to all of the supposed DEATHS
and injuries?
Non-Cabover Truck Camper29 Jan 2007 20:38 GMT8
I'm looking for a non-cabover truck camper and have searched the
internet with no luck.  Just looking for something about 7' wide and
10-11' long with a double bed across the front, a mini dinetter for
two on one side and a small galley and wardrobe closet on the other.
Windy29 Jan 2007 13:34 GMT9
Each of my slideouts has a retractable canopy over it.  Right now it's
pretty windy and it flaps like crazy.  Has anybody heard of these
canopies getting ripped off by wind?   You cannot retract them unless
you pull in your slideouts.  Any helpful comments?   Well, at least
