Thanks for all the great advise. Since I am heading out before school
lets out, I feel much more comfortable that I will not need
reservations, although I will call ahead whenever possible. I'm not
sure what the term "turnout" means but I suppose I'll figure it out.

Well I'm off to Boulder. Anyone know of a nice place to stay for van
camping where I wouldn't be too far from town?
I've heard that this is a bicycle friendly town. I'd like to look into
moving there. Would anyone know something about that?

Recently posted to one of my fiberglass trailer groups is this site
for trailer rentals.  Dunno how long they will stay in business as
there may be liability problems down the line (reportedly the cause of
