Hoppy,
Where are ya, Bud?   I'm watching the radar and it sure looks nasty.  3am,
a solid band of red/yellow about 70 miles wide moving across Amarillo and
Odessa.  That line of storms goes all the way up through North Dakota.  Lots
optimal rv size for national campgrounds02 Apr 2007 23:09 GMT6
If one were to be planning to use an rv primarily to camp in national
parks, is there a size range it's better to stay under?  Obviously,
the larger the rv, the easier it is the find all the amenities one
would like to have.  We seem to find all we want in a 32' range fiver,
More Stupid Towing.....02 Apr 2007 18:31 GMT144
Coming in from Houston today on US 290 I saw a Ford dually towing a 36
foot 5er which was towing a tandem axle enclosed 24 foot cargo trailer.
He wasn't going very fast but I was going the other way and couldn't
get a picture.  Looked like a freight train.
My Abject Apologies RE:  More Stupid Towing02 Apr 2007 17:35 GMT26
I must apologize.  When I told the story about the pickup pulling a 36
foot fifth wheel which was pulling a 24 foot enclosed tandem axle 16,000
pound GVW cargo trailer, I just assumed that this would be a mildly
amusing story and that everyone on here, who again I assumed knew
Travel and Fashion02 Apr 2007 04:46 GMT92
I love wearing shorts.    When  I lived in Arizona I didn't even  own
long pants,  I don't think.   The long pants have only  one function:
To keep our legs warm.   So I do not see any reason to wear long
trousers if it's hot.   None whatsoever.   Yet I see many men wearing
Ping: Neon John - - Inverter question02 Apr 2007 04:36 GMT3
John,
I ask you because of your experience with inverters; Is there a inverter
that will work down to, say, 9 volts input? When I use my tiny inverter, it
seems it starts beeping low voltage within an hour of use at about 100 watts

I have been carrying a chainsaw ever since we left Alaska about a year
ago.  I have never used it,even going thru some remote areas of
wilderness.  We do like bonefire where possible.  But there seems to
be firewood available in many places.  Have any of you guys found
Route from Portland to Calgary02 Apr 2007 02:30 GMT3
I'm looking for a different way to go from Portland, OR to Calgary,AB.
I usually take I5 to the border then #3 to #97 to #1.  This way is OK
but I'm not real fond to Canada #3 and #1.
I am driving a 38 foot gas motorhome pulling a Honda CRV.  I'm

Got KIPOR genset?01 Apr 2007 20:03 GMT13
G'day all;
Some months back I let myself get roped into getting a little Kipor (Chinese
knock-off of a Honda) genset.  I just needed something small to run TV,
computer, etc.  As a little cheapie genset, it's okay.  Unlike my Honda,
The old Campground at Ft Pickens National Seashore near Pensacola01 Apr 2007 02:42 GMT6
Last Saturday while on a fishing trip I was able to get some pictures
of Ft Pickens.  As many of you will recall the National Seashore had a
wonderful Campground at Ft Pickens.  Many of you also know that
hurricane Ivan hit Pensacola in September of 2004 completely

Got a call from "Camille" at "Executive Customer Service" at Hughes Net
this afternoon and they have decided to forget about the money they
claim I owe them.
First she said they had gotten a letter from the Better Business Bureau
