| Opinions on Sportsmen (K-Z) 5th Wheel? | 22 May 2007 19:34 GMT | 11 |
Wifey and I continue the quest for the suitable 5er, and came across this one in New Braunfels, Texas. It's a 2005 Sportsmen model 2852; it's a very clean unit and doesn't appear to have had much use at all. Dealer says he'll check everything and fix

| Email Blacklisted RV Parks | 22 May 2007 18:24 GMT | 15 |
In the past 6 or 7 weeks, I've been in 3 RV parks whose email servers are on one of the internet email blacklists. The SMTP email server at isp.com refuses a connection when I try to send email while I'm connected to the RV park's WiFi, yet I can easily send email if I use my ...

| Abnormal tire wear/ 29 ft 5th wheel | 22 May 2007 18:09 GMT | 2 |
Hello Good People: I did a review of past postings on this issue noted above. I have major wear (scuffing ?) on one tire only on inside furthest track only on the tire. Tire only has 5,000 miles and is other wise like new. My theory to consider is the fact that this is

| Whats the typical MPG savings of a Class C. 24' versus 28' ? | 22 May 2007 04:36 GMT | 5 |
Im in the market for a new (or 1-2 year old) Class C. 24-28' . I originally started out only considering 22-24', but, im finding the price difference rather negligible between them and one closer to 28' long. The 22-24 footers im interested in come with a 6.0 litre V8

| Full Circle | 22 May 2007 03:00 GMT | 12 |
Well, almost anyway. We drove away from our house, North of Vancouver, WA on the 27th of September, 2004 for the last time. We've been on the road since then, and have been having a ball every day. Our mileage on the MH when we pulled out of the drive way was 30,539. We're now ...

| transferring 5th wheel hitch between ford trucks | 21 May 2007 23:45 GMT | 24 |
My dad and I bought him a 1998 travel trailer - 28 footer. The seller had a 1984 F250 diesel that he would add for not-much-more so we took the package deal - if we decide to not keep this truck I'm sure I can sell it locally for what we are paying for it, if not for much more.

| Damaged roof - advice needed | 21 May 2007 20:47 GMT | 2 |
I have a real dilemma here; when exiting a campground (more on this place another time, grrrr) on returning from our vacation a tree branch caused some considerable damage to the (what appears to be) aluminum side corner of the roof, bending it concave for about four feet before ...

| Ping LZ...Hello...Hello Linus...can you still hear us? | 21 May 2007 20:03 GMT | 2 |
Also a WARNING to RVers planning travel to the northern midwest states. Get out your ear plugs. Just wondering if those suckers have emerged yet where you are? This is the 17 year brood that's due. And they will screw around for

| Pets in RV's | 21 May 2007 19:46 GMT | 52 |
For years I've scanned with some amusement the rants here about how pets restrict one's rv site choices. I'm moderately sympathetic with both sides, but we've usually had a dawg with us (at least for the last score of years) while traveling and seldom had any trouble

| Replace Automatic Transfer Switch "Sticky" relay?? | 21 May 2007 14:18 GMT | 3 |
I mentionned in this group a year ago that I thought I had fixed my ATS problem by tightening the electrical connections. Turns out that the reason the switch worked was that I must have given it a bit of a bump while working on it. The 50A switch hums a bit when the generator

| Ping Neon John (re auto mirror glass glue) | 21 May 2007 14:07 GMT | 3 |
I have a sideview mirror with a loose mirror glass that needs to come off, and then be reglued. Various sources say that the original glue can be loosened with a heat gun (hair dryer). The question is what specific glue do I get for the regluing which, if necessary, can also

| Maximum Hitch Weight | 21 May 2007 11:01 GMT | 36 |
My brother has a 1998 Ford Taurus with the 3-liter six and he asked me what I thought the maximum hitch weight capacity would be as he is thinking about a small travel trailer, either a tent trailer, a popup or perhaps a teardrop.
