Climate change confusion18 Aug 2007 00:10 GMT206
Even with an engineering background, I have a hard time understanding
all the "data" being put out on this subject.
First off - all the "highest" temperatures quoted by the weather
people on TV are the "highest since" sometime many decades ago. What
Resealing MH caps!17 Aug 2007 21:23 GMT9
Has anyone done this?  Today I found a small strip laying in the grass
and found it had dropped off the side cap, which means to me the caps
need to be resealed from top to bottom.  Right?
If it is to be done did you do it in increments ie one side then the

You have many things for which you can be deeply grateful.

East Gate closed. Again17 Aug 2007 16:06 GMT22
Yesterday they closed HWY 14 from the East Gate of Yellowstone to about 9
miles East of Fishing Bridge. No idea how long the closure will last.
If you have plans to come to the park from the East through Cody, Wy., and
plan to do it in the next few days, the only way to get here ...
50 Amps to 30 Amps?17 Aug 2007 16:03 GMT9
Made reservations at a state park where the electricity is 50 amps, my
Class C is 30 amps.  If I buy a step down(?) adapter/converther gadget
will there be any chance of anything going wrong at the RV because of
the amp differential?  I know the elect is 110 volt, but the

My name is Ken and I live in NH.  I enjoy RV'ing with my family in our
5th wheel.  One of our favorite times of the day is the campfire.  We
tell stories and play tons of games.
I have decided to write a book about all the games we play around the
Vermont17 Aug 2007 04:45 GMT10
We went to the possibly most visited attraction in all of Vermont today:
Ben and Jerry's factory. It is set up as a tourist attraction. The
place was mobbed but the guy from whom we purchased our tour tickets
said it was nothing like the day before when there was a 2 hour wait ...

La Cross Temperature Probe Hack?17 Aug 2007 02:33 GMT19
In my motorhome I have a La Cross radio-controlled clock that has a
provision for an external temperature sensor.  Over the years this has
worked fine.  Something has changed.  The location in which the sensor
is mounted has been ideal for providing a stable outdoor temperature ...
Delorme GPS Cheap17 Aug 2007 01:44 GMT2
Fry's Electronics is advertising the Delorme Earthmate GPS LT-20 with
StreetAtlas 2008 for $29.95. That's $69.95 regular price - $20 instant
rebate - $20 mail-in rebate. Even if you don't send in the mail
rebate, that's a darn good price.
RV Guests17 Aug 2007 01:32 GMT4
When we opened the blinds on the back window of our 5er this morning we
discovered we had guests, four bats!  We have a pull down see thru shade on
the outside of our back window and the bats have taken up residence hanging
upside down from the shade between it and the window.  ...
Significant RV accident17 Aug 2007 01:23 GMT92
Driving across Nevada on IS80 I see a new motorhome with Toad making a
lot of dust. Thought the mh was on a side road until I saw it bucking
and bouncing, throwing up a massive rooster tail of dust and a big
plume of vegitation bits. The front wheels and rear wheels both left

Have you read "No Country for Old Men" (Cormac McCarthy)
