*Three* bad tires.
About 15 miles down I-10, I detected a slight vibration. Having experienced
a tire about to shred a tread, I stopped to check.  Sure enough the right
front trailer tire had a disconcerting bulge.  Put the spare on.  Proceeded
Traveling solo (opposite of sharing MH)09 Sep 2007 21:24 GMT3
Wife isn't interested in traveling at all. She would rather play in
her garden. I'll be going maybe a total of 30 days a year.
I've looked around but don't find a trailer floorplan what suits me. I
would like a bathroom where I don't have to shave with one foot in the

Helen to Tellico Plains08 Sep 2007 19:20 GMT42
Hi Gang,
<sigh> If it's not one thing, it's another.
When I left Helen Georgia this morning I had trailer brakes. I did
what I always do and punched the controller when I started to roll...
HWH side & jack solenoids08 Sep 2007 18:57 GMT1
I recently had to replace one HWH slide solenoid and a leveling/jack
solenoid plus an equalizing valve.
Both were replaced with remanufactured solenoids.
I have several questions:
NM Bisti Wilderness, Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks08 Sep 2007 18:37 GMT4
Is it possible to visit the Bisti Wilderness and the Kasha-Katuwe Tent
Rocks with a 25ft Class RV? I want to go at April or May.
Is it allowed to stay overnight at the trailheads or near of them.
I know rental companies don’t allow driving on unpaved roads. But if
2007 Fall Escapee Rally08 Sep 2007 16:31 GMT11
Lon, has the parking committee made arrangements for the local farmers to
bring in their big tractors for those rally goers parked in the infield?
It's *raining* here in Shipshewana!   LOL

Truck salesman says truck will tow 35 percent more than manufacturer states...ROFLMAO08 Sep 2007 16:01 GMT45
I just got back from GM dealer.  Was looking at a 2008 Duramax.  He asked me
about what I was pulling and I told him I weighed it at 17k with truck
attached.  Figured it was a 12k trailer...give or take.  I did not have the
ticket with me and my memory was probably faded.  But ...
Sharing a motorhome08 Sep 2007 13:56 GMT96
Approaching retirement and would like to buy or lease a motorhome
and tour America.  Here's the catch:  My wife and I would like to
do this with another couple -- wife's sister and her husband.
I have searched the newsgroup and the web, I have looked at the

Battery charging ??08 Sep 2007 00:43 GMT38
GMC duramax and Montana 5th wheel. When towing I was told the rv battery is
being charged from the GMC.  If this is true when parked and rv and GMC are
still connected will the rv discharge the GMCs batteries?? If the rv is
plugged into power will it charge the GMCs batteries???  ...
Urban legend, true, or sorta both- regular frig in camper?07 Sep 2007 22:40 GMT27
A few people, Will for one I think, has made the conversion to a
regular home type frig, in their Class B's, and maybe other classes.
How valid is the following story as to credability or possibility? We
were discussing the alternatives to repair or replacement of a Dometic
Mapping preferences for FL turnpike07 Sep 2007 19:37 GMT81
Looking forward to our first time snowbirding with a MH and am puzzled
why mapping services (AAA, Map Quest, Yahoo, MSN, etc) all seem to
favor the Florida Turnpike over parallel route I-95.
What am I missing?
Yamaha 3000, ultra quiet inverter (generator)07 Sep 2007 17:37 GMT13
My inverter was used last weekend.  When started it charged the batteries on
the fifth wheel just fine and ran lights, etc.  However when I tried to run
the microwave it bogged down.  The book said to turn off the inverter and
restart it.  This took several tries before the ...
