Question on what to get.28 Sep 2007 07:47 GMT4
Grandma, my mom, like to go camping with the family, but he does not
like sleeping in the dirt. And she would like a nice place to cook.
I've got a old 1971 ford 1/2t 360v8 that is fairly clean and I have
done a lot of work to it. I'm thinking I can use this so Grandma can
OT~About the Betrayus ad28 Sep 2007 05:21 GMT56
An interesting article about the ad. Oh, and it's in the NY Times.

From the article:
"Did MoveOn.org get favored treatment from The Times? And was the ad outside
Electrical System Help28 Sep 2007 04:58 GMT5
I borrowed my brother's travel trailer for a couple of weeks.  When I
hooked up the electric line, nothing worked but the microwave.  I
checked the breaker panel and found both main DC fuses blown.  When I
replaced them, everything worked fine.  Then, since the battery was
OT~~~The Disappearance Of Con-Kook Willy Silly28 Sep 2007 03:56 GMT2
---The Liberal Sentinel, existing only to offer the fine populace,
both legal and illegal, all of the benefits of the glorious American
way of life and seeking only the path of righteousness in achieving
those ends, has duly noted that Silly Willy Silly, notable former
Trailer side-swiped28 Sep 2007 03:31 GMT134
After traveling on I-75 from Knoxville to south of Atlanta today, we
stopped at a rest area for lunch. Approaching the door of the trailer, I
was sick to see black rubber burns the full length of the trailer, from
the door to the rear. Some cracks in the wheel well, but no other
On Topic Plan By Democrat Dingell-Berry To Make all RVers Delightful With Glee28 Sep 2007 00:31 GMT2

ever so happy they ever heard of Al Gore and Dingell-Berries
like this putz.
And y'all wonder why we need to start building Nuclear
I made $550.00 yesterday27 Sep 2007 21:23 GMT7
A transmission shop quoted me $600.00 to change the transmission on my MH.
(labor only)
(they didn't have a lift large enough and had to do it in the parking lot)
I spent $50.00 on a Harbor Freight transmission jack and changed it myself,
Flushing Water System27 Sep 2007 17:14 GMT108
I am inspecting a used trailer for possible purchase.  I was told the
water system had been "winterized" and today, when I opened the drain
valve, out came ethylene glycol.  My question is, will any amount of
flushing make this water system safe?
Another Vista post27 Sep 2007 14:32 GMT29
I've mentioned that I really like Vista.  I really do.
But I've got an annoying problem with my new installation.  I
don't know if it's Vista per se, or some program.  But I'm at my
wit's end trying to fix it.
Camper Q27 Sep 2007 11:12 GMT14
I own a Nissan pickup with a 4 cylinder engine. I have had a
transmission cooler installed. My question is; Is there a slide in
camper that would be a fit for my truck? I would like to buy used,
what type should I look for?
Virginia is the Most Beautiful State27 Sep 2007 05:44 GMT2
I have lived and traveled through most states.
>From living in California, Oregon, Az, Md, and Pa,  - Also driving
cross country to many times to count.I really believe that Interstate
81 in Virginia is the most beautiful part of our country.
Worst Trip Ever27 Sep 2007 03:54 GMT19
I really think our Interstate roads are deteriorating faster than they
are being repaired or upgraded. I am setting here in Las Vegas after
making a three day dash over 1800 miles of I-40 primarily. Each stop was
followed with replacing every thing in there normal place.
Travel Trailer and Boat27 Sep 2007 02:57 GMT26
We just sold our motorhome and bought a travel trailer.  The problem
we're facing now is how to combine a weekend of camping and boating.
We used to pull our 14' open boat behind the MH but don't think we
qualify for one of those Long Load signs and pulling it behind the
Generator exhaust routing27 Sep 2007 01:19 GMT58
While at the PNWCO, I asked around a little (OK, just Alan) about
getting something to get the Onan exhaust away from the coach. Seems
like I have the common problem of my propane detector shutting off my
propane whenever the door is open with the genset running.
Advice27 Sep 2007 00:32 GMT19
I have a small hard-sided trailer, now, but want opinions
regarding this make/model.  The owner claims it has been very well taken
care of, mechanically.  I'm not all that concerned about the inside as I
can do without the stove, etc.  Would like to have the generator,
