Redone RVs07 Oct 2007 12:52 GMT43
I have been thinking lately about completely redoing the
interior of our travel trailer.  It is a '89 Terry Tauras, 26
foot model.  It has served our needs for the last few years,
but the kids are almost grown and I am ready for a new one.
Wannabe questions07 Oct 2007 12:40 GMT74
The bride and I are just starting to look at motorhomes in advance of my
retirement three years down the road.  We're former sailors, so we have
some appreciation of the joys of holding tanks, 12 volt systems and the
like.  We expect to maintain a small base of operations, but ...
Off the mountain at last07 Oct 2007 09:12 GMT11
We're off the mountain at last. We did a long drive today. 275 miles, and
for us that is unusual. We're here just a few miles outside Rupert, ID for 2
days. It's nice to be where it's warm, all the way up to 48 degrees at 7:30
pm. :-)
On the road again To home plate06 Oct 2007 22:26 GMT3
Well I have been here in Lewisville TX. City lake camp grounds, only
cost $8 a night and includes E/W/WiFi and dump station on the way out.
headed up to Texarkana for an RON and short visit with an old friend.
Then on to NE AL.
Two days left, and then we're outa here06 Oct 2007 22:20 GMT70
It's been a fun 2 months here in Yellowstone. We've seen lots of stuff, lots
of wildlife, and met some really great people. Fishing Bridge closes at
10:00 am on the 30th. We're staying the night of the 30th and heading off
the mountain on Oct. 1st.
OT~~~IS 2 MONTHS TOO LATE TO CONSIDER "ABORTION?" (KILLING YOUR CHILD)06 Oct 2007 22:07 GMT4
We hear a lot of talk about "justifiable abortions" such as when the
child has a horrific genetic defect or some other life-threatening
situation that doctors "presume" won't allow them to live a normal
life but will require them to have constant and/or expensive care.
Return Trip Planning06 Oct 2007 20:05 GMT11
I intend on returning east this coming Saturday. I think I will choose a
different rout so I can miss I-40 Bad parts. leave Las Vegas and drop
down to I-40 VIA 95, 163, 68 to Kingman AZ. Stay on I-40 till Santa Rosa
NM. Pick up US-84 all the way to I-20 VIA Lubbock TX. Then on in ...
Diesel MH maint. when stationary06 Oct 2007 17:09 GMT2
I currently have a gas Class A motorhome that I live in full time. We are
parked each summer for several months and always add Sta-Bil to the fuel
tank and run the genny under load each month. No problems when we take off
again.
Wilson Antenna choices (for phones, for wireless cards) for Verizon06 Oct 2007 14:58 GMT15
Thanks so much for all the input in the thread from my prior question
about cellular access for internet use.  We decided the cell internet
service will be with Verizon, with a Wilson Antenna mounted on the RV
to boost the signal.
Verizon customers06 Oct 2007 14:48 GMT22
I got a booklet in the mail today.
Verizon will share you cell phone number with "our affiliates, agents and
parent companies (including Vodafone) and their
subsidiaries"...........unless you call 1-800-333-9956 and opt out.
Website that had RV selection options...?06 Oct 2007 13:33 GMT3
G'day all;
Earlier this year somebody here posted a link to a great website from an RV
builder/provider.  I don't recall if they carried 5ers only or trailers as
well--since I was only looking at 5ers.
For you Texans----Canyon Lake Gorge06 Oct 2007 04:11 GMT1
http://www.canyongorge.org
CANYON LAKE, Texas - Geologic time has a different meaning when it
comes to Canyon Lake Gorge. You could say it dates to around the end
of the Enron era.
Backup Camera Issue06 Oct 2007 03:59 GMT27
So here's a new one of them "undocumented features". When I press the brake
pedal my backup camera comes on. Got any ideas for troubleshooting this
issue before I have to take it to someone who knows how to do it? I suppose
the first thing to do is to stick my head under the dash ...
Ping:  Jan Orme06 Oct 2007 03:47 GMT6

I am meeting an acquaintance who is attending a 'Racing Event' there near
the end of this month.

Travel across US06 Oct 2007 03:07 GMT9
will be taking my first trip across country from Virginia to Washington
(state) next year and wonder what is the route across the mountains that is
the least strain on the motor home.  I have a 98 Holiday Rambler (Ford V-10,
34 Ft) and will be towing a Honda civic.
