on our
way home from camping at Fort DeSoto, "Just to look around". We found

Tornado rattles RV industry21 Oct 2007 01:24 GMT2
Franklin Coach, a family-owned travel trailer maker just east of Nappanee, is due south of the
Arby's at the corner of County Road 7 and U.S. 6. It had been destroyed by the tornado.

Review of the Effectiveness of the Provincial Reconstruction Team Program in Iraq [OT]20 Oct 2007 15:46 GMT1
It doesn't get much better than this. This is the best report on overall
conditions in Iraq that I've seen. (As always, if someone has something
better I'd love to see it.) There's a lot this report doesn't talk about,
but it seems to be pretty comprehensive on the issues it does ...

Anyone familiar with "The Little Red Campfire, by Camco";

If so, what's your opinion regarding it?  Do you own another brand of
portable propane firepit that you take with you in your RV? If so, what
Too rich for me19 Oct 2007 11:55 GMT5
Just visited a Google link off Tioga George's blog.  Ocean Mesa RV Park in
Santa Barbara.  Looks nice.  And it should!  $85.00/night.  And they don't
have "resort" in their name.  Don't think it's the place for me.
GB will soon be "out of business"19 Oct 2007 05:14 GMT10
Yup...  saw it last night on TV...  Charlie Gibson...   seems the new
dictionaries are going to OK a couple of the 'most used spellings of a word'
right  or wrong,  if, say, 52% spell 'RVer' like we do... but 48% spell it
'RVr'...  both will now be acceptable...
RORTers at the Datastorm Rally19 Oct 2007 03:00 GMT3
Besides Joy and I, Don and Mary Murray are here in Tucson for the DSU
rally that starts Sunday. I don't recognize any other RORT names on
the attendance list, but I'm wondering if there are any more? Lurkers?

Tow Dolly Manufacturers?18 Oct 2007 13:19 GMT8
We had a tow dolly which was manufactured in Texas, but I can't recall the
name of the manufacturer.  If it helps any, the frame was gray and the rest
was blue, with white wheels.  It had electric brakes.  Rather than having
two "wells" for the car tires to sit in, it had a ...

Road Trip without RV: Never Again!18 Oct 2007 01:41 GMT58
Well.... never again if we can help it!  We just returned from a two-
week trip from Philly area to Kansas City to Aspen, Colorado.  We (DH,
darling dog Alfie, and I) took the Land Cruiser and went to see our
kids in KC suburbs, stayed with them a few days then on to stay for a

French Lesson: A Model Health Care System17 Oct 2007 23:36 GMT41
In another thread, something about a 12-year-old, I had the temerity
to mention that France has the best health care system in the world
and that the cost per person is far less than in the United States.  I
suggested that the United States would benefit by adopting the French
