We're planning of taking a trip to the Grand Canyon this summer and
looking for some information from folks who have had experience at the
various campgrounds in the area, including those off the beaten path.
We're also historic Highway 66 buffs and plan on taking the Mother
1 kW generator test27 Jan 2008 16:40 GMT34
A few days ago someone asked about the performance of that little $100 Chicom
generator that I mention quite often.  I often operate my little electric saw on the
generator and the OP was also curious about that.
Today I braved the cold mountain weather :-) to run some tests and ...
One more time, asking about Fleetwood FLAIR27 Jan 2008 15:50 GMT21
I didn't receive any responses, so thought I'd give it one more
try.... here is my previous post.  Any comments about the Flair would
be very welcome.
My friend is selling their almost-new motor home, with only 700 miles

Where did all the short fifth wheels go?27 Jan 2008 02:42 GMT6
In our search for the motorhome, Mama became distracted and
subsequently interested in a fifth wheel trailer she saw (she
especially liked the "penthouse" bed arrangement) and I had to explain

A1A along the east coast of Florida27 Jan 2008 02:36 GMT9
Has anyone here taken their RV on A1A along the east coast of Florida? I
see a couple ferries on Streets and Trips, which might make it
interesting. Besides the obvious traffic problems, is there a good
reason to avoid doing so? It looks like it might be a really cool trip.
Ping - Steve Wolf  [OT]26 Jan 2008 23:00 GMT3
Steve,
A few weeks back you gave a few web sites for finding dogs to adopt
online. I can't find that info. Could you repost or email those links?
Thanks
Great Generator Buy!26 Jan 2008 22:49 GMT33
Here is a generator that is very inexpensive and one that provides
some nice wattage for a very low price, but, of course, it is a
Chinese gen and some have a built-in aversion to that.
However, if your generator needs are quite limited, it would be pretty
Battery Question26 Jan 2008 13:52 GMT22
My friend, who recently bought a Casita wrote me this...
"tomorrow I get to take it in to the RV shop because my brand new
battery has gone dead in the last three weeks, and I'm not sure why.
I've had the trailer plugged in to shore power this whole time to run
Good Sam and Escapees26 Jan 2008 05:44 GMT10
Some friends of ours are planning a cross-country trip, maybe in May,
and they asked me to post a question to the RV group regarding
membership in groups that could help them along the way with
campgrounds, reservations, costs, etc. and they said they'd heard

RV Pollution25 Jan 2008 23:22 GMT2
1)  Do you believe the earth's climate is warming?  if yes, continue,
else See ya later.
2)  Do you believe any such warming is partly or totally man caused?
3)  What is the basis for your belief?
Loud squeak in Hydro Therm Furnace 8535-1125 Jan 2008 22:13 GMT6
The Hydro Flame 8535-11 furnace in my RV has developed a squeak when
the fan runs.   I need to try something temporary, so I can run the
