Info concerning a campground in Vero Beach, FL28 Mar 2008 21:55 GMT2
I just cut & pasted this from another RV-forum.  I know nothing about
it but some of you may have stayed there or be planning to stay there.
There may be absolutely nothing to it but be aware at least some
people are unhappy.

You were right on the dammachine thing..  One of mine was acting up
yesterday and all my sweet-talking the ol' girl was getting me nowhere..
I remembered your post..  went and looked up 'high dudgeon' and
thought I'd apply some..  mixed in a good dose of cusswords, a pinch of

We are back from our trip down south (fm CT) which included a week of
Katrina volunteering in Waveland, MS. Wow, Mississippi is still in pretty
awful shape.
We also stayed a week at an Escapees Park in Summerdale, AL. I'd be

Late fall we inherited a 1992 Shasta Class C on a Chevy frame (22 feet long)
as the in-laws don't trust their driving anymore.  We have oodles of
experience pulling and using a popup, so on camping issues we are well
versed.  I am starting to go through the camper now and will ...

I ordered my AC on E bay today. Should be here tomorrow. I got a low profile
13.5  Carrier??  7.5 inches tall so it should no increase my over all
height. I tried calling multiple RV dealers and keep getting high prices and
6 to 8 weeks for an appointment plus $100.00 per hour ...
Electrical question???28 Mar 2008 02:40 GMT11
30A vs 50A.   30A is 120v from hot to nutreal and 120v hot to ground.  50a
is 240v hot to hot, 120v hot to nutaral and 120v hot to ground.   If this is
correct when I use a 30a adapter for my 50a 5th wheel does it just put the
same 120v on both side of the 50a so HOT  to HOT on ...

Just Embellished Words: Senator Obama's Record of Exaggerations &     Misstatements27 Mar 2008 22:16 GMT1
Once again, the Obama campaign is getting caught saying one thing
while doing another. They are personally attacking Hillary even though
Sen. Obama has been found mispeaking and embellishing facts about
himself more than ten times in recent months. Senator Obama's campaign

A while back I asked and got lots of advice about installing an RV
electrical post on the far side of the drive. You may remember the
question about putting it on a tree. Got lots of good advice here.
Well, I put it on a standalone post, ran the 10 gauge through some
Selling our Fox27 Mar 2008 15:00 GMT20
Well my bride and the doctors have convinced me to part with our Arctic Fox
fifth wheel, the Dodge 2500 with the Cummins diesel and to stop full timing.
Gonna hang up our ladder <g> Seven years is enough. You can see our Ready to
Go! 2000 29-5E Fox on the Portland Craigslist site ...
vacum cleaner install27 Mar 2008 14:12 GMT9
Hi Kevin; We installed the Dirt Devit in each of our last rigs. The install
is very easy, requires few tools, less than an hour to complete. Performance
is adequate although we take the house hold unit out to the rig about twice
a year for a thorough cleaning of the high traffic ...
My Ol' Georgie-Boy is finally at rest!!27 Mar 2008 05:08 GMT42
No..  she didn't die, or give up..  I just got my [new] hydraulic
levelers installed..   The first time this ol' girl has had the load off
her springs in 26 years..     I can easily lift all 6 wheels clear off
the ground..  doesn't even make the pump snort..

No, this is diffidently ON TOPIC ... we all haul RV's of varying size ,
weight, and length ... so it is important that we be aware and prepared.
So, how was YOUR score on the test?

these two choices (unless someone has another to recommend I check out):
