DirecTV National Networks - Problem with east coast network16 Jun 2008 02:53 GMT19
This post is a duplicate of one that I posted at alt.dbs.directv.  I
wonder if any of you RV folks are having a similar problem.
I receive the east and west coast networks in my RV.  For some time now
I have experienced ongoing signal dropout problems with NY channels. ABC
NY Times Says it's OK to Ban Speech16 Jun 2008 00:54 GMT44
In the USA it has long been constitutionally protected speech under
the First Amendment to criticize religions, minorities, or others.
For example, as long ago as 1977, when the neo-Nazi's wanted to march
in Skokie, ILL, the courts said that was OK even though many Holocaust

to have the generator serviced which they did.  When the shop went to
Busy time15 Jun 2008 01:27 GMT16
Starting tomorrow we are going to be surrounded by friends for nearly 3
weeks, and then with Family for 3 more. I don't expect to have time for
the newsgroup, but one never knows. I may pop in from time to time. Or not.
This will be strange. I haven't skipped more than filtered ...
We can almost see summer!14 Jun 2008 23:29 GMT29
After days of cool/cold, wet, overcast weather, summer appears to be in the
near future.  However, we have a little winter to get through before the
warm sunny weather.
Tonight - low 32 - 2"-4" snow accumulation below 5,000'

5th Wheel Fresh Water Leak13 Jun 2008 14:50 GMT4
We dry camped recently and realized we have a fresh water leak. We
added 75 gallons after 3 days so that tells you the flow rate. It
seems to stop at the 1/4 full mark but that may be a rough
measurement. Water seems to flow at the very lowest spot below the
Last one out turn off the lights13 Jun 2008 03:35 GMT3
This area looked like a ghost town last weekend.  The motel had all of THREE
rooms rented.  Normally it would be booked solid several weeks in advance this
time of year.  The gas thing is really sinking in for the time being, it looks
like.  That combined with the forest service's ...
Stupid Gas thiefs13 Jun 2008 03:05 GMT68
I went to pick up my Motorhome from my property where I keep it.
It only had 1/2 tank of gas, so I went to fill it.
Well, gas started running on the ground.  I stopped the pump and climbed

Converter question - vintage trailer13 Jun 2008 02:43 GMT20
I have a 1968 13' travel trailer; the previous owners didn't use a
battery, just shore power.  A little over a year ago I had a trailer
shop install a battery and connect all the wiring for towing and for
charging the house battery while traveling or connected to shore
Thank you congress!13 Jun 2008 02:30 GMT18
Our congress-critters just voted, along party-lines or course, to NOT ALLOW
OIL DRILLING in the 50-200 mile off-shore area.  It's okay for the Chinese &
Cubans to drill there, but our guys can't.  Makes sense to me...(not!)
The next time you're in line with your rig at the ...
