A newbie with a new toy...09 Jul 2008 01:08 GMT27
We just bought a Funfinder X, 186 FBS similar to this one:
We will be towing it with a Toyota 4Runner, with a V8. We'd been thinking
of an Airstream, or a Casita, but the Funfinder was recommended by someone
Kwikee MH Steps08 Jul 2008 17:26 GMT14
Today we stepped out of the house to go
to the MH to get something
we left in it .... opened the door and
no steps.  The batteries were all

The Prius Carbon Footprint Problem and Other Bedtime Stories08 Jul 2008 02:03 GMT21
Once upon a time in the land of Nod, the green merchants,
in the name of the almighty market shell game, proclaimed
many things to be green. But the hand is all too often
quicker than the eye. And Gore sold many carbon credits.
Tongue weight of a 2004 Tioga 24D?08 Jul 2008 00:26 GMT3
I am borrowing a 2004 Tioga by Fleetwood Model 24D and trying to confirm the
tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch. The newer models at
fleetwoodrv.com indicate 350 lbs but I cannot seem to find the specs for the
2004 model. The owner is  unavailable at the moment and I ...
Something I thought some might like to see!07 Jul 2008 22:57 GMT32
Who was it that said animals can't love?  I think they can love
their adoptive families!  This just might convince some non pet
owners.  But no matter what it is worth viewing even a second
time if you have seen it before.  Brought a tear to this old
2000 Ford V-10 class A ignition switch problem07 Jul 2008 20:42 GMT11
I have a 2000 Damon Intruder 349 on a Ford Chassis.  I have two
separate ignition switch issues.  One has been discussed here.  One
hasn't.  Problem 1 is totally intermittent (naturally!)  Turning the
switch to "stast" does absolutely nothing.  No start.  No dash
Towing a Suburban?07 Jul 2008 18:45 GMT23
We have an old (1997) 4X4 Chevy Suburban with automatic transmission and
manual transfer case collecting dust in the barn which Son wants to turn
into a surf fishing "Beach Basher". Does anybody know if this vehicle is
"flat towable" with the transfer case in neutral? We can't ...
Need spreadsheet of Winnebago dealers07 Jul 2008 04:25 GMT5
It would be MOST comforting if I could get my grimy little hands on a
spreadsheet listing of authorized Winnebago dealers.... at least until
my warranty period ends.  I keep bumping into people who tell horror
stories about beating bushes to find the nearest RV repair shop.  And
Joe Horn No Billed [OT]07 Jul 2008 02:16 GMT20
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/5864151.html
There is, of course, still the possibility of a civil suit too. It looks
like TX has sort of become like one of LZ's hunting stories. Humans may have
become the next "big game" because the opportunities to bag on ...
Dometic freezer chills but not fridge compartment07 Jul 2008 02:01 GMT15
Hi, the Dometic 3-way in my RV has been malfunctioning lately:  the
freezer compartment gets cold as it should, but the coldness doesn't
carry down to the refrigeration compartment.  What could be going on,
and how would I fix it?  Thanks.
Mail Dump!06 Jul 2008 20:12 GMT15
I use escapees.com as a spam mail dump, and check it every few
days just in case.  As a matter of fact I checked and emptied it
yesterday.  As usual, I had about 20 spam emails, quickly
deleted.
Satellite TV help needed06 Jul 2008 03:54 GMT14
I'm tired and frustrated and despising big entertainment corps more than
normal.  I've spent the day trying to help an RV friend get his Dish network
up at his RV.  He wanted to bring his receiver from home, a Dish-322 receiver
that is hooked to a Dish-500 dish at home.
Camping on Long Island NY06 Jul 2008 03:51 GMT60
Anyone ever camp on L.I. New York? My husband recently retired, no pensions,
just Social Security and a bit of savings. We recently bought an old Doge
class-B Xplorer and plan on a trip to NY in Sept.  I looked up campgrounds
on L.I. but they're all by resurvation and you need a ...
