Ft Myers area over Christmas ??07 Aug 2008 04:27 GMT2
We are looking for a place to stay for a few weeks December-January.
Yes, I know we have to make reservations soon.  Yes, we have been
going to the area for about 30 years, and in the late 90's/early
2000's had a house in Cape Coral (sold it after travel back and forth
What side to locate the Generator?07 Aug 2008 02:38 GMT56
Is there a 'normal' side the generators are located on??
I have an equally adaptable space on either side of my bus..  My
instinct is to locate it on the side opposite the awning..
but thinking my neighbor camper may not agree..  :)
A&E awning fabric07 Aug 2008 02:19 GMT6
have checked with my local dealer and the fabric available through them is
of unacceptable colors.  (i'd prefer a white one, not a dark ugly assed
color)  Does anyone have links or info on replacement fabrics online?  I
have an 16' 8500 series.
genset exhaust temperature06 Aug 2008 17:29 GMT10
As mentioned. I'm making a vertical exhaust for our 0nan
gasoline generator 5.5kw in  our Tripe-E Commander.
I found aluminum 10 ft 1-1/4 in conduit for $34, emt elbow, and connectors
for maybe $15.

Hey Bob,
Have you considered walking the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz?  I was looking for
current resale values on a Honda EU3000 and this popped up.  If you were in
the area, you might look at this Tiogo. (I have no interest)
Ten minute tech.06 Aug 2008 12:21 GMT54
RV'ers,
Well, maybe not ten minutes, and maybe not so technical, but here
goes. My arms are short. They are too short to stand outside and
conveniently scrub my shower stall. I've been looking for a short
Cheap knock-off generator06 Aug 2008 04:58 GMT7
Hello group
As some of you know, I am a really low-budget RVer.  While the Honda
generators look great, they are a bit pricey.  So I am looking around
for a cheaper alternative. Does anybody have any real experience with
Fire updates06 Aug 2008 03:58 GMT3
OK, here we are 6 days and about 5,000 acres later.
First the Le Hardy fire in Yellowstone. The last printed document I have
from the NPS is dated Yesterday, August 4th. At that time the Le Hardy fire
was 4,260 acres and 5% contained. The latest estimate to full containment is

5th wheel questions05 Aug 2008 21:36 GMT140
Momma and I are considering replacing our Jayco TT with a new Jayco Eagle
5th wheel in the spring.  I have little experience with fivers, so I am
turning to the group for advice and insight.
There appears to be numerous hitches available, all making the claim that

Got a question for a tinkerer.  One of my last complaints about
this unit has to do with heat from the engine penetrating into
Right Size, Class C05 Aug 2008 21:24 GMT51
Good morning. I've been lurking here for awhile as my wife and I look
at RVs to buy. We just can't seem to make up our minds! Anyhow, we have
finally decided that a Class C is right for us but now we are
struggling with the size, which, after all, does matter. We found a
