A friend will be driving from the Bay Area (South Bay, Palo Alto) to Mammoth

going thru 50 to 395, then south?  Best meaning fastest and easiest to
drive.

Texas to Winnipeg30 Jul 2003 23:52 GMT12
I will travel to Canada next month by automobile. I did a mapquest.com
travel lookup and the trip is about 1500 miles and about 40 hours. Travel to
Toronto is 100 less miles but only 24 hours. I know mapquest's times are not
all that accurate, but there must be a reason for the ...

I am planning a trip for next June with my 18 year old son.  Most all of
our trip is set except for a day and night spent at Zion National Park.  We

Boston/Back Bay hotels?30 Jul 2003 15:44 GMT4
I've checked the archives and didn't see specific information on the hotels
I'm considering. We don't care about room size so much as central location
in Back Bay, we like to be able to walk out of the hotel to restaurants,
cafes, etc. Right now I can get an acceptable rate at any ...

I heard that airlines are now rescanning luggage on connecting flights
and someone said that it is likely that luggage will be arriving late

Florida - Arizona29 Jul 2003 15:51 GMT27
We plan to visit the US in January. The plan is to fly to NY, go with bus or
train to Washington DC, rent at car there and drive along the East coast
down to Florida. Does that sound reasonable in January - in terms of weather
etc?
