can anyone recomend a decent hotel in Manhatten in December that does
not break the bank ( 100-160 dollars a night ).
I know if I looked hard I find a thread that covers this already but
theres just two many.

I just visited Mobile, AL to slidell, LA, and back east to pensacola,
fairhope area.
I was under the impression that this region in the deep south was
somewhat laid back. What I found was alot different. It seems the

car in the US. The insurances offered additonally seem quite expensive...

I visited Canada from the US recently, and didn't realize I was
supposed to bring a passport or birth certificate.  They acted
irritated with me, had me go talk with someone at the immigration
office (right there at the border), and then let me in.  They

I'm traveling to new york in December and am thinking about visiting
the niagara fall as well. Is it possible to fly from new york to
niagara ? I thought about taking the train but it takes 7 hours. Any
advice is most welcome.

There's a diner on NY17 on the way from Binghamton to NYC that's a
landmark in its own right, but I can't remember the name of it.  If
anyone can fill me in, I would appreciate it.

Mapquest.com says it would take almost six and a half hours to drive to
Canyon de Chelly from Phoenix. Is that about right or does it take less
time ?

We'll be in the area and have never been to the Outer banks. Would we
be crazy to go this time of year? will anything be open? what kind of
weather might we expect? the temperature profile looks fine but
unclear about rain and wind.
