I am planning a last-minute winter getaway to Montreal the weekend of

We Know The Future III-The Auto Is Disappearing in Europe and the rest of the world16 Dec 2003 22:30 GMT20
Cars will be obsolete in Europe by 2010, and here sometime later. All
European cities are banishing autos to good. Soon the feet, pedal
power, and public transport will be the only ways to get around in
Europe. Dutch cities are two years away from being without cars. The

Thanks.
A night at the Vancouver Airport16 Dec 2003 05:23 GMT10
I found a cheap Air Canada flight to Hawaii that has an 8 hour layover
in Vancouver.  Unfortunately it is 12:03 am to 8:20 am. [ That will be
3:00am to 11:20 am our time - so we'll be really sleepy by then]  Is
there any way to survive there for eight hours during the night, a
Americans asking about Thanksgiving in Europe16 Dec 2003 03:47 GMT11
As there have been many questions about this subject, I'm not sure
many Brits would enjoy a "typical" American "Thanksgiving."
It usually starts with a family journey into the
countryside - and given the size of most American cities and traffic

Hubby and I are looking forward to a couple of weeks "someplace" around the
