My wife and I are planning our first trip ever to Hawaii, and would
appreciate some advice from people familiar with the islands.  Thanks
in advance for any help.  We'll go for one week.
Here's what we want to do, not in any particular order:

We are thinking about packing up the six children and heading to DC
for a visit this summer.  We would like a hotel that is in the city in
a safe area that might have suites or accommodations more suitable for
a family of eight.  Of course, affordability is also a plus. 8^)

Actually this will be our first trip to North America.
We (wife, 2 kids (7 & 8) & myself) have been to europe & Aust & NZ. We
will be landing in Vancover and intend to spend 3 weeks there.

I have conflicting information.  If the observation deck open.  Heard
it was closed since 9/11.  Also, if open, how much does it cost to go

All train stations seem to not offer luggage lockers anymore since 9.11.
Anyone got a suggestion where to store luggage while shopping/sight-seeing
in mid-Manhatten?

- Caladesi Island State Park
- Clearwater Beach
- Ft. DeSoto Park

I am looking to spend a week in the Miami area and would love help
finding a great hotel.  Cost is not a factor.   I usually go to the
Caribean but my friends want to stay in the country this year..with

We are planning to head for one of the scheduled shuttle launches in
Sept. or Nov. this year.   This will probably be a one-time experience
so we wish to "do it right".  Any advice as to where to stay, getting
tickets, watching and photographing the event?  Anyone who has done it
